    • BOYCOTT EXXON MOBILE - Do not pump gas at ExxonMobil - Oil and gas giant ExxonMobil voted earlier this year overwhelmingly against protecting employees from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. It's been doing that for years. Despite being the top Fortune 500 company, the corporation is notorious for failing to provide for its LGBT employees. Scoring an abysmal -25 on HRC's Corporate Equality Index -- the lowest possible score -- ExxonMobil claims that LGBT protections are "unnecessary" and already covered under other company policy.
    • BOYCOTT "Chick-fil-a" for donating money to anti-gay groups. UPDATE: President/Owner of Chick-Fil-A stated "they do not support Gay Marriage." "They support the bible only." Therefore, we believe they do not welcome Gay people as they may feel that Gay people are an abomination. Tell your colleges, business's to end their lease and business relationships with Chick-Fil-A (CFA). Dan Cathy (owner of of CFA) contributed to Exodus (Reparitive Therapy) and the FRC whose money is connected with "KILL THE GAYS" in Uganda. Question: Does Dan Cathy know that politics should not be discussed at the dinner table?
    • Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commercial by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to be Al-Quada friendly as well? Imagine - Bill O'Reilly compares Gays to Al-Quada! Further, Boycott Fox's Owner "Rupert Murcoch" and get him thrown in jail for illegal - political donations, bribery, hacking!
    • Boycott Gold's Gym - for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations.
    • End DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). Prevents Federal employees and Gays in the Military from gaining equal benefits. Prevents Gay Partners from gaining equal benefits.
    • Pass a LGBT friendly ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act). ENDA would prevent employment discrimination of LGBT workforce.
    • Boycott Salvation Army as they will not hire Gays! "DO NOT DONATE TO THEM."
    • BOYCOTT KOCH INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS- to include their products: Angel Soft toilet paper / Brawny paper towels / Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups / Mardi Gras napkins and towels / Quilted Northern toilet paper / Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper / Sparkle napkins / Vanity fair napkins / Zee napkins / Georgia-Pacific paper products & envelopes / All Georgia-Pacific lumber & building products (INVISTA Products) / Lycra / Stainmaster Carpet. The billionaire - Koch brothers are ultra republican - tea bag founders/supporters that do not support causes of the LGBT community.
    • Boycott WALMART - The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force criticized Wal-Mart for denying employee benefits to same-s-x partners and for failing to prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. By comparison, the group said two other chain stores with a strong presence in New York, Costco and Walgreens, did much better.
    • "Tune Out Trump", Boycott all Trump Hotel, casinos, holdings, The Apprentice and NBC Network! At CPAC, Trump said he is considering a run for president as a Republican. In a interview with the Des Moines Register, Trump added that he opposes all forms of legal recognition for gay couples, not just marriage. "They should not be able to marry," he said. So why does NBC keep the Apprentice when Donald Trump has stated he may run for president? After making racist remarks about Obama and recv'g public backlash, Trump decided not to run for president after NBC renewed his awful TV Show. How can NBC re-new the clown's show after he pulled such hateful shenanigans?

    Gay rights are Obama's and Biden's civil rights legacy

    When I wrote Tuesday that no matter the outcome, 2012 was the last gay marriage election, I was - and remain - pretty confident, that no one will ever try running for President again on a platform of opposing same-sex marriage. Not anyone, at least, who wants a chance at winning.

    But I wasn't predicting the legalization of same-sex marriage in Maryland, Maine and Washington along with Minnesota voters declining to amend their state constitution to ban it. It was a dramatic turnaround from North Carolina's vote to constitutionally ban same-sex marriage just six months ago.

    That this turnaround happened, though, demonstrates even more that this is one issue where the tide has turned inexorably, and which social conservatives will soon have to concede. Because in 2016, when today's 9th-graders go to the polls for their first time to pick our next President, the question won't be who's for or against marriage equality. It'll be "Why is this even an issue?"

    And mostly, we'll be able to thank the slow, but steady, acceptance of gays and lesbians in popular culture- on TV shows like "Ellen" and "Modern Family" - and the perseverance of activists who've fought for marriage equality for decades.

    But it'll also be the civil rights legacy of President Obama and Vice President Biden. Their administration's low-key, "What's all the fuss about?" approach paved the way for the marriage equality endgame that's now playing out, and affirmed that gay rights aren't some sort of special rights, they're just plain-old civil rights.

    In the same way that President Truman pragmatically remedied the inequality of the segregated armed forces, Obama quietly repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell - by waiting until his Defense Secretary and three of four Joint Chiefs of Staff were on board before taking it up with Congress.

    And in the same way JFK reached out to Coretta Scott King when MLK was jailed in Birmingham, first Biden - and then Obama - came around to publicly and symbolically ratifying the basic fairness of extending the right to marry equally.

    So even though the issue won't be settled until the Supreme Court eventually weighs in - and while the Obama-Biden administration won't be remembered primarily for the role it played in the gay civil rights movement - their contribution will have been that at a pivotal moment they stood for something so fundamental that sometimes it's a surprise that anyone still doubts it.

    Rights aren't for one group or another. Rights are rights.
    Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
