I see this groups main page mentions Uganda murders.
Yes a local Uganda paper did "out" certain gays,and the primatives killed them.
Uganda was also trying to bring in the death penalty for homosexual acts.What a barbarous country.
Many other countries in Africa are also totally homophobic,and that includes Zimbabwe run by that chimpanzee look alike Mugabe,who has in the past stated that homosexuals are worse than dogs.
And this is from a dictator that is starving his own citizens.
In the north of africa,mostly under Islamic rule,the same applies,where death is the norm for homosexuals.
BUT!!!!!
Seems now the country I spent many earlier years in during apartheid,while running the Smugglers Inn" in Durban,South Africa,[if you were a around then,U would have known it was the biggest Best infamous hangout for gays,tarts,Lesbians,and the horny Matelots off boats]is now appears to be one of the safest gay friendly country in Africa.
Those days if a gay club opened,as was what happened in the case of friends John and Leo,who opened the "Midnight club"in Durban the cops would organise the surfie rednecks to bust up the place and beat up the customers.
Yes I experienced it,but not at the Smugglers Inn,we were an established accepted business.

Now SA offers has accepted same sex marriage since 2006,and Discrimination against same-sex couples is prohibited .WOW!
Definatly the country to live in if you want a taste of Africa.
Next choice would be the ex Portaguese colony of Mozambique where homosexuality is not illegal,and is tolerated in general.
This was a popular place for us to go for a change from SA back then.The food the wine,the continental style was great.
Strangely Mozambique is now a member of the British commonwealth,but even for brit passports holders,ya still only got a 30 day stay allowed,and that about for 90 bucks.
