The former Fulham and Manchester United striker has been a revelation in the Barclays Premier League this season, scoring seven of the Toffees' 15 goals in the top flight so far.
Few would question the 31-year-old's ability when fit, but having endured a string of injuries during his spell at Old Trafford, Distin is pleased to see the France international is back to his best.

Saha was back on the scoresheet on Sunday as David Moyes' side earned a crucial away win over West Ham United, and Distin is confident there will be plenty more to come from his compatriot when the Barclays Premier League resumes after this week's international break.
"Every time he plays he seems to score," said Distin.
"When you've got a player like Louis playing like he is now, even with an injury, it's amazing.
"He impresses me. He's a great player and you can see it every week."
