Home comforts for Kirkland

Chris Kirkland wants Wigan Athletic to concentrate on ensuring their home form provides a platform for success.

The Latics, who drew 1-1 at home with Fulham last weekend, have been inconsistent at the DW Stadium so far this season, winning two, drawing two and losing two.
However, they did defeat leaders Chelsea, and Kirkland knows how important it will be to recreate that sort of display against other teams in the league.
tough place
"We've not been too bad at home over the last couple of seasons and we've made it a tough place for teams to come and get a result," said the goalkeeper.
"We've now got to try to get back to winning ways here and there were plenty of positive signs (in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Fulham)."
Kirkland's good form this season has prompted suggestions he could be recalled to the England squad
