I hope WA becomes the next state to legalize marriage equality. The only thing is that the 'Family orgs' will have a pocket referendum up their sleeve more than likely. I'll be watching carefully at this development. What are your thoughts on the ballot ? in ME to legalize marriage equality there?

Why Dripping With Sweat Is Dangerous

Sweating is your body's way of releasing excess body heat to maintain an ideal core temperature of 98.6° Fahrenheit. When you exercise or are exposed to the elements on a hot day, your body will release sweat through the millions of sweat glands located all over your skin. The sweat then evaporates, releasing the heat into the environment and cooling your body down.

But what happens when you're sweating so hard you are dripping?
 
Dripping sweat is not a good sign, and in fact, it's signaling you need to slow down and cool off. When sweat drips, evaporation ceases to occur, which means the excess heat your body is trying so hard to get rid of is not actually being released. Your body can only do so much to regulate its internal temperatures, so you have to be conscious of your body heat and rate of sweat production.

If you're exercising so hard you're dripping with sweat, make sure you wipe it off with a dry towel as much as you can to allow for evaporation. If it's really hot or humid outside or inside, take a break in a cooler place. And don't forget to replace lost fluids. You can lose 1-2 liters of sweat per hour in high-temperature conditions, which means you need to replace those fluids. Drink plenty of water and use a high-quality sports drink, such as Gatorade, if you're going to be exercising or exposed to high temperatures for more than 90 minutes.

  • Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commercial by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to be Al-Qaida friendly as well? Imagine - Bill O'Reilly compares Gays to Al-Qaida! Further, Boycott Fox's Owner "Rupert Murcoch" and get him thrown in jail for illegal - political donations, corruption, greed, bribery, hacking!
  • Boycott Target, Best Buy, Gold's Gym - for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations. Update: (12/26/2010): Target is continuing to donate to anti-gay groups/causes/politicians. Update 03/08/11 - Lady Gaga Ends Target Partnership, Reportedly Over Target's Poor LGBT Stance. Update 3/25/2010 - Target displays their hypocrisy and Sues California Gay Rights Group for Lobbying Outside Stores. Target is attempting to block the LGBT right of free speech! STOP SHOPPING AT TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update 4/8/2011: Target lost its case to stop the LGBT from canvassing in front of their stores. A huge PR Disaster for TARGET! Perhaps Target should go out of business as they betrayed their investers and customer base. Target contributed massive funds to a politician who would like to exterminate gays. Now, Target can not stop us from Boycotting them, nor picketing, nor talking to customers near their stores; although, Target allows a anti-gay company such as the Salvation Army to stand outside their door and speak with customers and raise money. Isn't this a double standard?
  • End DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). Prevents Federal employees and Gays in the Military from gaining equal benefits. Prevents Gay Partners from gaining equal benefits.
  • Pass a LGBT friendly ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act). ENDA would prevent employment discrimination of LGBT workforce.
  • Boycott Salvation Army as they will not hire Gays! "DO NOT DONATE TO THEM."
  • BOYCOTT "Chick-fil-a" for donating money to anti-gay groups.
  • BOYCOTT KOCH INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS- to include their products: Angel Soft toilet paper / Brawny paper towels / Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups / Mardi Gras napkins and towels / Quilted Northern toilet paper / Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper / Sparkle napkins / Vanity fair napkins / Zee napkins / Georgia-Pacific paper products & envelopes / All Georgia-Pacific lumber & building products (INVISTA Products) / Lycra / Stainmaster Carpet. The billionaire - Koch brothers are ultra republican - tea bag founders/supporters that do not support causes of the LGBT community.
  • Boycott WALMART - The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force criticized Wal-Mart for denying employee benefits to same-s-x partners and for failing to prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. By comparison, the group said two other chain stores with a strong presence in New York, Costco and Walgreens, did much better.
  • "Tune Out Trump", Boycott all Trump Hotel, casinos, holdings, The Apprentice and NBC Network! At CPAC, Trump said he is considering a run for president as a Republican. In a interview with the Des Moines Register, Trump added that he opposes all forms of legal recognition for gay couples, not just marriage. "They should not be able to marry," he said. So why does NBC keep the Apprentice when Donald Trump has stated he may run for president? After making racist remarks about Obama and recv'g public backlash, Trump decided not to run for president after NBC renewed his awful TV Show. How can NBC re-new the clown's show after he pulled such hateful shenanigans?

    Former US President and Former GA Gov. Jimmy Carter felt that TROY DAVIS should not be executed and deserved a re-trial. The Former Director of the FBI felt that TROY DAVIS Was Not Guilty! Effort to make gay marriage legal in Wash. begins
Activists launched a campaign Monday to make Washington the seventh state to allow same-sex couples to marry - and quickly received a boost from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee.

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Activists launched a campaign Monday to make Washington the seventh state to allow same-sex couples to marry - and quickly received a boost from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee.
 
"For him, it's an equal rights issue," said Inslee spokeswoman Jaime Smith. "He feels really strongly that the government shouldn't have a role in preventing a committed couple from enjoying the kind of marriage he has with his wife."

In a news conference at a Bellevue community center, a coalition called Washington United for Marriage announced it would lobby the Legislature to approve a gay marriage law next year. The measure would not grant same-sex couples any significant new rights - Washington has had an expanded domestic partnership law, the "everything but marriage" law, on the books since 2009.

Instead, supporters said, the effort is about erasing the stigma that long-term couples face when they have to introduce their significant others as "my partner," rather than "my husband," or "my wife."

"Everyone else has the right to be married, to have that recognized," said Nancy Woods, of Redmond, who attended the kick-off with her partner of 11 years, Jana Simpson, and their three young children. "When I say, 'That's my partner,' people say, 'Oh, business partner?'"

State Attorney General Rob McKenna, the Republican candidate for governor, supports the state's domestic partnership law but not support gay marriage, said his campaign manager, Randy Pepple.

"Rob believes that this is an issue that is going to be decided by the voters," Pepple said.

Advocates said Monday they decided to take the issue up with Olympia, rather than in a statewide initiative, because they and many other people dislike the notion of allowing people to vote on fundamental rights. Asked whether lawmakers are too preoccupied with difficult budget problems to take up the matter, Rod Hearne, executive director of Equal Rights Washington, said he didn't think so.
 
"This is an opportunity to help families in tough times. It doesn't cost anything," he said.

Washington United for Marriage will stage a series of suburban town halls in the coming weeks to rally support. Gay marriage is legal in Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont, as well as the District of Columbia.

Gary Randall, president of the conservative Faith and Freedom Network, vowed to fight the effort in a blog post Monday. He said his organization would encourage lawmakers to oppose what he called "the assault on marriage and a crusade to redefine it."

"We believe in marriage. We are willing to defend it," he said, "despite the scorn sometimes directed at this stand."
