Yes TV in UK is the tube, and Channel is the Card. That should be correct! Not bad as I did not watch the tube. I was studying or on the Internet.
There are changes in Language in just 10 years. New variations in regional accents are detected in just a 10 years as well. In the USA there are words for a sandwich in a shape of a sub that you find at Subway. For instance, some call it a sub, Hoagie, Hero, grinder, Cuban sandwich, po'boy, torpedo, Italian sandwich, etc. All depends on where you live in the USA, or your ethnic background, even preference. Our world has become very diverse. Since the days of William Shakespeare, wouldn't you say that English has not changed? Perhaps, I find it easier to write in the style of Shakespeare. Thus, Shakespeare's style of English is easier.
