Overcome Cravings With a Small Snack
 
We humans are genetically programmed to eat all of the food we see, say scientists. That's why if you eat ice cream straight from the container or chips straight from the bag, you always eat more than you intend. It's also why many people tend to overeat at buffet-style restaurants.

To overcome such "see food" temptations, I have a neat trick: When you have an indulgent craving, don't deprive yourself. Instead, eat smarter and carry healthy treats.

I love dark chocolate because of its antioxidant benefits - and it tastes great! My favorite kind is Green and Black's Organic 85% Dark Chocolate; it's delicious and has less sugar than milk chocolate and most other brands of dark chocolate. This way you can satisfy your craving while skipping out on the sugar crash. Plus, making smart choices about sugar and carbs will help keep your waistline in check.

This group is called "Peckers PICS."  The English -  slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health, Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues.  In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!"  Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!"   Warning: This may stoke you!

Glenn Beck's Washington D.C. rally to feature MLK's anti-gay niece, Alveda King

Washington, D.C. --- Two large and opposed groups are gathering on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Saturday morning -- one led by Glenn Beck, the other led by the Rev. Al Sharpton.

The stated goal of both rallies: to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.

But critics on the left say that Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally is an attempt to hijack the civil rights legend's legacy.

"Restoring Honor" will feature speeches by Sarah Palin, some "mystery guests," and Alveda King, who is Dr. King's niece and a loud opponent of gay rights and abortion rights. 

In contrast, Beck recently said that he supports gay marriage. He quoted Thomas Jefferson as he made his argument: "If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me?"

Rev. Sharpton's rally will include speeches by Education Secretary Arne Duncan, NAACP President Benjamin Jealous, and radio host Tom Joyner.

"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."

Remember:  Boycott Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations and to Proposition 8 (California) to prevent gay marriage. The Formal Boycott began this past weekend. I stopped shopping these stores - even though I want a new washer/dryer and new clothes for the Fall.  I would not purchase "Blood Diamonds," nor should a person / organization be contributing funds to both Hitler / Nazi's and the Jews at the same time!   Obviously giving money to the Jews and not Hitler/Nazi's is the right thing to do.   Hence, these companies violated my trust and well-being.   They gave money to my enemy who would terminate me from my job, deny me housing and send me to a Internment camp.  Therefore, goodbye Target and Best Buy!  The CEO's of these companies have been insensitive to our reaction and do not even comprehend their actions!  What takes so long to "fire" these Neanderthals?
