Today's Health/Excercise Tip:
Is Peanut Butter Bad For You?

It's America's most iconic, creamiest, dreamiest snack around. But beware: Not all peanut butter is good for you. Most of what you'll find at your grocery store is loaded with sugar, sodium and hydrogenated oils. Swap regular processed peanut butter for the natural variety with the oil floating on top. It's a good move because the natural variety doesn't contain artery-clogging trans fats that the processed types do.

Even better, spread on the almond butter instead! Most nuts are good for you, but study after study shows that almonds are rich in omega oils and may help fight heart disease and cancer. And since research shows that peanuts are not as nutritious as once thought, you'll be doing your body a favor by making a healthier swap. Peanuts are said to be carcinogenic (cancer causing) and contaminated with pesticides. Fungus can also be found growing in the shells, and they have fewer essential omega oils than almonds.
And Now, Twink Wars!
This group is called "Peckers PICS."  The English -  slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues.  In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!"  Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!"   Warning: This may stoke you!

Queen Latifah gay, finally comes out the closet
August 9, 2010; Examiner; Paula Mooney

Even though most folks have suspected Queen Latifah was gay ever since her outstanding turn in "Set it Off" -- her most believable character portrayal as a gay woman to date -- we didn't have photo proof until now, with photos of Queen Latifah essentially coming out the closet on Just Jared.

Queen Latifah and her personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins are vacationing on a yacht with Alicia Keys and her new husband, Swizz Beats, and the Queen makes it clear she's out of the closet, either intentionally or unintentionally.

We don't know if Latifah and her gay mate actually see the photogs.

Anyway, but for the grace of God it could've been me caught in lesbian photos in my former days before "Jesus chopped me up and slowed me down just like I that Houston flow" that LeCrae rhymes about in his "I'm a Saint" song.

That's perhaps what made me wince viewing the photo spread of Queen Latifah and her girlfriend, even though segments of the world say coming out of the closet should be celebrated, Paul's words ring in my ear telling me a different story:

"Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality," reads 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

"Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God," he continues -- and I think of how hypocritical it is that some of us churchfolk forget this part.

We can be a lot more forgiving of adulterers or drunks (or even be them ourselves) while shouting down gay folks.

"And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God."

And then there's Romans 1:26-27 references for people receiving the "due penalty within themselves" for their errors:

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

I can't run away from these things.

And yet, the cries of homophobia don't stand in the face of love that overcomes all.

I'm the last one who can criticize anyone, it's all out of love.
