After tonight's episode of WWE Raw, "Team Cena" or "Team WWE" has a new look
with six members opposite Wade Barrett's seven-member Nexus team at
Summerslam.
The elimination-style PPV main event will now feature John Cena, Bret Hart,
R-Truth, John Morrison, and Edge and Chris Jericho, who were added back to
the WWE team at the end of Raw.
WWE has officially scratched Great Khali from the line-up after he was
scripted to be taken out by Nexus during Raw. During Raw, WWE teased The Miz
possibly joining the team as the final member.
Nexus will feature the standard seven-man unit of Wade Barrett, Skip
Sheffield, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver, and
Darren Young.
WWE also added a new match to Summerslam with Divas champion Alicia Fox
facing Melina for the Divas Title. Melina beat Fox in a non-title match on
tonight's Raw. It was Melina's first match in eight months since returning
from injury.
The updated line-up for Summerslam ahead of this week's Smackdown TV taping
to complete the line-up is as follows:
-- Team WWE vs. Team Nexus in an elimination tag match.
-- WWE champion Sheamus vs. Randy Orton. If anyone interferes, the offender
will be "suspended indefinitely."
-- World Hvt. champion Kane vs. Rey Mysterio.
-- Big Show vs. Straight Edge Society (C.M. Punk & Joey Mercury & Luke
Gallows).
-- Divas champion Alicia Fox vs. Melina.
