Take Action:
- Boycott "Whole Foods" Grocery Stores: Their CEO is against Health Care Reform. Also, Whole Foods is blocking unionization. Check out Trader Joe's instead. Due to the boycott & pressure from stockholders, their CEO has stepped down; But, remains on the Board. Further, Whole Foods has made no retraction of these anti-Healthcare reform comments & continues to support Republican agenda.
- Boycott Exxon OIL. Do not purchase their GAS. "Exxon scored as the worst company for the LGBT to work for!" In fact, before Exxon purchased Mobil Oil, Mobile had same gender partner benefits. Well, that changed for those employees when Exxon purchased Mobil - as same gender-partner benefits went out the door! Therefore, as we have choices, we don't need Exxon.
- Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS! Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
- We demand Health Reform to include affordable insurance for anyone with pre-existing illness. 45,000 Americans die each yr because they have no health insurance! Further, we must include non-Discriminatory legislation towards the LGBT community in this bill. The present senate version excludes this.
- We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
- Did you complete your Diet Journal today? Get it done!
- Did you do any physical activity? If not, make a point of it by tomorrow!
- It is our hope that these photos shall inspire you!
Today's Health/Excercise Tip:You Can't Starve Yourself SkinnyNot eating enough during the day in order to reduce calorie intake and lose weight can backfire in the evening hours when the comforts of home call. Do you raid the fridge in the middle of the night? It may not be your love of ice cream that's to blame. In fact, you're lucky if you last all the way until the evening before hunger strikes. Going hungry isn't the key to permanent weight loss, and you simply can't starve yourself skinny.
When you go hungry, your body enters into "starvation mode" and conserves energy, which means you're not burning any extra calories. In fact, eating too few calories can reduce your daily energy output by 30%, which is easily 500 calories you're not burning off. Doesn't quite balance out, does it?
Instead of sabotaging your weight-loss efforts by skimping on breakfast and lunch, eat a hearty breakfast (oatmeal is always a winner) and a substantial lunch (turkey sandwich, veggie sticks, fruit and yogurt). When dinner time rolls around, break out the low-cal salad and fruit for dessert; then brush your teeth before you can change your mind about eating those leftover brownies.
This group is called "Peckers PICS." The English - slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues. In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!" Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!" Warning: This may stoke you!

WASHINGTON -- President Obama, the Pentagon and leading lawmakers reached agreement Monday on legislative language and a time frame for repealing the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, clearing the way for Congress to take up the measure as soon as this week.
It was not clear whether the deal had secured the votes necessary to pass the House and Senate, but the agreement removed the Pentagon's objections to having Congress immediately repeal the contentious 17-year-old policy, which bars gay men and lesbians from serving openly in the armed services.
House Democratic leaders were meeting Monday night and considering taking up the measure as soon as Thursday. But even if the measure passes, the policy would not change until after Dec. 1, when the Pentagon completes a review of its readiness to deal with the changes. Mr. Obama, his defense secretary and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff would also be required to certify that repeal would not harm readiness.
If it passed, the measure could enable gay men and lesbians to serve openly in the military as early next year, ending a policy that Mr. Obama, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, all say they oppose.
Representative Patrick J. Murphy, Democrat of Pennsylvania and a leading advocate in the House for repeal, is hoping to attach the proposal to a defense authorization bill that will come up for a vote on Thursday.
In the Senate, Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, independent of Connecticut, intends to introduce the language on Thursday in the Armed Services Committee. In a letter to Mr. Obama on Monday, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Lieberman and Senator Carl M. Levin, the Armed Services Committee chairman, announced support for the proposal and asked the White House for its "official views."
But Capitol Hill aides said the letter was pro forma; Mr. Obama's budget director, Peter R. Orszag, quickly replied with the White House's assent.
The compromise emerged Monday after a flurry of closed-door meetings at the White House and on Capitol Hill.
White House and Pentagon officials, who met with aides to proponents of repeal in Congress, declined early in the day to talk about the negotiations.
"Given that Congress insists on addressing the issue this week," said Geoff Morrell, a spokesman for Mr. Gates, "we are trying to gain a better understanding of the legislative proposals they will be considering."
Gay advocacy groups were ecstatic. The president of the Human Rights Campaign, Joe Solmonese, said the deal "puts us one step closer to removing this stain from the laws of our nation."
Mr. Obama has been under intense pressure from gay rights groups to live up to his campaign promise to work with Congress to repeal the law.
Already this year, the administration has taken significant steps toward doing undoing the policy; last month, the Secretary of the Army, John M. McHugh, said he was effectively ignoring "don't ask, don't tell" and had no intention of pursuing discharges of active duty service members who have told him they are gay.
But full-fledged repeal, which requires an act of Congress, has been moving slowly. Gay rights advocates are especially concerned about having a vote before the November midterm elections, when Democrats are expected to lose seats. The language that is now circulating allows lawmakers to do that, while allowing Mr. Gates to keep the timetable for his review intact.
"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
