Today's Health/Excercise Tip:
Modern Conveniences Have Made Us Fat

As recently as 100 years ago, preparing a meal took hours. Now, you can microwave a packaged meal in mere minutes. Before planes, trains and automobiles became the norm, physical activity was a way of life. We had to walk to most destinations. Our jobs even required manual labor. Today, however, we can accomplish just about every task while seated.

We order food over the phone, shop online and drive whenever we need to go someplace. On average, we live a very sedentary lifestyle. As a result, our fitness levels have decreased. Sitting for eight hours a day at a desk job, walking to the car to drive home and sitting in front of the TV during dinner means that many of our muscles are hardly ever called into action. What can you do about it? Walk to the store, carry your groceries home, park farther away from the office, take the stairs! Every little effort helps.
And Now, Twink Wars!
This group is called "Peckers PICS."  The English -  slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues.  In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!"  Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!"   Warning: This may stoke you!

White House applauds Malawi pardon for gay couple

CHICAGO — The White House hopes it's a new day for gay rights in the African nation of Malawi and around the world.

Presidential press secretary Robert Gibbs says the White House was pleased to learn that Malawi's president on Saturday pardoned a gay couple sentenced to 14 years in prison because of their sexual orientation.

Gibbs says in a statement that the men aren't criminals and that their struggle isn't unique. The statement urges an end to what it calls "the persecution and criminalization" of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Malawi has faced international condemnation for the conviction and harsh sentencing. Malawi's president says he granted the pardon based on "humanitarian grounds only," but homosexuality remains illegal.
