Too simplistic. I have no idea what your job is, but I bet your employer isn't allowed work practices where you demonstrate that you are just about guaranteed that sooner or later you will lose your fingers.

Occupational health & safety requires employers to minimise knopwn risks. The attitude that if a worker doesn't like it, he can do something else is right out of the worst excesses of capitalism that have been considered unacceptable since the early part of the 20th Century.
