Hi Again Marki,
I am a bit perplexed. I did not consider this dangerous when on site. This is not a war zone at time you were volunteering. You will need to advise. Around the Syria border on Lebanon front should be quiet and have UN workers. My only danger was being hit by suicide bomber in Tel-Aviv. Currently, that is not the problem. Only problem is with inexpensive bombs raining into Israel from GAZA. However, Israel has a new Missile defense shield that is very costly that stops 90% of the missiles. These bombs don't rain into Palestinian Territories. I am not aware of any workers being harmed in this area that volunteer with Doctors without Borders. In my case, I am too young to be able to leave a hospital to do such a thing without being terminated. Palestinian Territory is very crowded. Yes, the Gaza strip is lacking aid. Much of this is due to the fact that they do fire missiles at Israel. However, Israel has done a better job of keeping its aid running even when they fire missiles into Israel.
I do not know the answer for GAZA! Personally, I believe Egypt should have taken 100% responsibility from the beginning. They should have policed GAZA and prevented all the terror. Why this responsibility was placed on Israel confuses me. It can not be 1 country. They do not act like they want to be 1 country. They act like 2 individual countries, operated by 2 different Mafia's. I could throw in a few other words, But, I am being polite.
Anyway, i thought it be good to mention that Tel-Aviv is now the #1 gay tourist destination in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately the Israeli tourist bureau is using a lot of former Palestinian sites to shoot gay porno. This does not build respect not peace. The USA has been through so much much garbage since 9/11 and we require so much more cooperation from all sides. Also, this only brings more resentment against the gay community by Muslims. Some of these sites that gay porn is be shot are considered to be holy sites by the Muslims. How does this build any peace? And this only causes Muslims to kill gay people in order to get even. I am sure that Israel does know what it is doing. I am highly disappointed. This is childish.

First, a hello to u Jake & fellow Physician! ;-) It's been WAY too long! And a shout out to all my old favorite hunks that I missed debating with, learning from & hopefully provided good Intel & Info to you all myself?! :-) I've been volunteering with Doctors Without Boarders for about 6 months in Israel's Gaza strip for 3 months & in Lebanon for 3 months near the Syrian boarder at 2 refuge camps! WOW! The heartbreaking & heartwarming stories I could tell you! Don't freak out, I'm not going to list them! LOL! Had some of u freakin out, huh? :-) Seriously though it was VERY hard work, dangerous surroundings & a horrible shortage of NEEDED medical supplies, but a VERY humbling experience that I wouldn't take away if I could!! It's definitely great to be back home stateside & enjoy luxuries I had

Now that I've caught all of you up on where I suddenly disappeared to, I'm posting my 1st post since I've been home & decided to share a study of Toxicity in our air we breathe everyday! This info & stats I'm sharing was done using Phoenix AZ as a study city & sample. It also discusses your health risks that I hope you find interesting but also disturbing??!! Enjoy... Ciao for now, Marki :-)

This article clearly states particulate matter is not good for you yet they say nothing about the aerosol operations which intentionally put particulate matter in our air.
