Many intellectuals in the gay Community have asked Pres. Obama to npot say the physical words that he supports gay marriage. Why? The real statistics do demonstrate that in borderline Blue states that are in question (I have seen the list), those states are anti-gay marriage and would cause Pres. Obama to lose the general election. It is not humanly safe for Pres. Obama to say that he is pro-gay marriage, or Santorum would easily capture the Republican Nomination and become the next US President. Many of us would have to leave America. But, if we are smart enough to see that Pres. Obama does not support nor defend DOMA (defense of Marriage Act) and no longer spends federal money to defend it in court, than he doe sin fact support gay marriage. This is a trick. 1st you appeal DOMA. Than you proclaim you are pro-gay marriage. This is a strategy tat is wise and used by experts to get what you want.
To do otherwise, would be foolish.
Sotomayer...um...You take one court-case that the woman feels she is following law and blow it out of proportion and follow the claims of Republicans who fought her nomination. Are you serious? The woman is a progressive? Pro human rights! Pro-gay rights. Has done nothing to display that she dislikes men nor white men. In fact, I will be very direct. You do not know PuertoRicans. When Spain went to Puerto Rico they committed genocide and killed all Indians. Most Puerto Ricans pro-claim they are white. If there is mixture from blacks, it is dismissed. They consider themselves to be white EuropeanSpaniards. There is no hatred of White men. The woman is highly educated and did not go to law school in a slum. I know many Puerto Rican women. Some are lesbians. No hostility towards white men. In fact, they have a lot of affection for white men.
Please stop listening to Republican lobbyists, small town politics Fox news, etc. This is foolish and no one I know of has ever suggested this. This is a republican Racist - anti-Puerto Rican - anti-female attack!
Also, this group is about gay rights and I have not concentrated on this subject. This group has passed many articles in regards to why Pres. Obama "should" and "should not" discuss gay marriage. But, I will tell you this. Before he ran for President, he said, I believe in Gay marriage. Further, he has stated as President, he believes that gay people should have the same rights as all people. What does that tell you? I guarantee you if a gay marriage bill was physically [placed on his desk, he would sign it. when the reverse of DOMA is placed on his desk, he will sign it. Whose fault is it that The reverse of DOMA was not placed on The presidents desk? Wow, the people that voted out the democratics in 2010! If the democratics were not voted out, DOMA would have been reversed by now and our President would have stated, He supports Gay Marriage! Now we must wait till we vote in a Democratic House! and for Pres. Obama's re-election.
