SPOILERS: TNA iMPACT! Results for This Week (7/1)

*The show opened with Abyss cutting a promo in the ring, which the reporter
in the arena somehow missed. Hulk Hogan then started to come down to the
ring. Eric Bischoff attempted to restrain him, but Hogan still made it to
the ring and attacked Abyss. Abyss and Hogan were said to have "no sold" the
segment. Jeff Hardy then came out and hit Abyss with a Twist of Fate and
Swanton Bomb
*The Motor City Machineguns defeated Ink Inc. During the match, Team 3D came
down, and Brother Ray attempted to interfere, but was stopped by Brother
D-Von, and the two began arguing. After the match concluded, D-Von entered
the ring and helped Jesse Neal to his feet
*Eric Bischoff came out and announced that in the main event, Jeff Hardy
would face Abyss, with TNA Champion Rob Van Dam as the special guest referee
*Samoa Joe defeated AJ Styles. After the match, Styles fought with Kazarian
and Ric Flair, and Styles challenged Kazarian to a match next week, which
was accepted
*"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero then made his way to the ring with a huge
ovation from the crowd. He says that he's back in the game now and wants to
work his way to facing Rob Van Dam for the title. Kurt Angle then came to
the ring and welcomes Pope back to TNA before saying that they have a match
at TNA Victory Road. Angle says that it's a match he must be victorious in
before leaving the ring. During the commercial break, security brings
Angle's son Cody up to the ramp with his dad. Angle's daughter is seated
next to Dixie Carter at ringside
*Brian Kendrick defeated Desmond Wolfe. During the match, Chelsea left
Wolfe's corner and the ringside area
*Jay Lethal comes to the ring for his match, but calls out Ric Flair and AJ
Styles beforehand to answer for the assault on Lethal's brother last week.
Matt Morgan comes out instead and announces that Flair has invited him to
become the first member of his new Fortune faction.
*Jay Lethal defeated Matt Morgan. During the match, Hernandez snuck into the
ring and hit Morgan with a low blow while the referee's back was turned
*TNA Knockout Champion Madison Rayne defeated Taylor Wilde in a non-title
match. During the match, Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Stevie Richards, and the
returning Rhino appeared in the crowd. After the match concluded, Angelina
Love showed up and attacked Rayne.
*On the big screen, TNA President Dixie Carter is seen in the rafters
talking to Sting. Dixie says that both Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have
said that Sting is a "cancer" to TNA, and Dixie has suspended him from the
company for 30 days. Sting then proceeds to verbally assault Dixie before
Bischoff appears with security, who escort Sting out of the iMPACT! Zone.
Bischoff suggests to Dixie that she hire a 24/7 bodyguard because he fears
that this situation with Sting is not over with and that Sting "may go
psycho now"
*In the main event, Jeff Hardy defeated Abyss with TNA Champion Rob Van Dam
as the special guest referee. During the match, Abyss attempted to use such
weapons as a steel chair and a 2x4 with nails. Abyss was stopped the first
time by RVD, but was stopped the second time by Mr. Anderson. Anderson hit
Abyss with a chair, then accidentally hit Hardy due to Abyss ducking a
second time, which led to Abyss hitting Anderson with the Torture Device
