RE: [Peckers_Pics] Muscle Wars; Sept 19, 2010 - Safe PICS For All Ages, Rated G

I wrote in the article below:

A. When Suzanne came to my house to talk about me writing for BHTM she complained about swollen arthritic fingers, so I gave her three supplements to feel better, and have more energy:
SuperNutrition Opti- Energy Pack multivitamins, the world's most potent anti-aging vitamin formula; SuperNutrition Glucosamine + MSM, a strong formula for joint health and joint pain relief,
and Jarrow brand MaxDHA omega-3 fish oil capsules (she took five capsules twice a day for optimal anti-inflammatory effects).

It's important for people with arthritis to take a lot of fish oil. One/two capsules a day won't crack it. The combination of these three potent formulas dramatically reduces inflammation in the body; a core problem in rheumatoid arthritis.

New Recommendation – to this I'd add:
1. Two 500 mg capsules of Jarrow Curcumin95 twice a day;

2. And 2,000 to 5,000 IU of vitamin D3. (SuperNutrition Opti-Energy Pack has 1,000 IU, so consider this when looking at your dosage. Dr. John Cannell, one of the vitamin D experts says that most adults need 6,000 IU per day to get blood levels of 40 or more.)

Strongly suggested: Get an "OH-vitamin D" blood test two months after you start taking a certain dose of vitamin D. You want your blood levels to be at about 40 to 60 ng/mL. Some experts say higher blood levels are ok, but some data show a potential for 1 out of 20 people to experience hypercalcemia – high blood calcium, when OH-vitamin D is about 70 or above. In the interest of prudence I stop short at 60 ng/mL.

VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS FOR LIFE! - by Michael Mooney

May 23, 2010 / Beverly Hills Times

He served eight terms as Political Committee Chairperson and Co-Chairperson of the Northern California Chapter of the National Nutritional Foods Association and has appeared in Sports Illustrated and on ABC, NBC, FOX, KPFK, and the Discovery Channel.

Hair Loss & Healthy Hair Regrowth
Q. I'm a woman who is losing hair. Is there anything that really can help stop hair loss, or even re-grow it?

A.In 1997, in my Muscle Media magazine column I hypothesized that Nizoral shampoo, a dandruff shampoo, could slow hair loss and even help it grow back. Two years later, a couple of studies proved it. Use the shampoo no more than three times a week or you'll get red bumps on your head. It takes 4-8 months to work. Massage it into the scalp; as massage also helps hair grow because it improves circulation.

When I was losing hair a few years ago, I interviewed several top hair loss doctors, including Beverly Hills physician Gary Perrault, whom I felt was the most well-informed. Dr. Perrault told me the first thing that he does when someone is losing his/her hair is a blood test called ferritin to look at how much iron is stored in their body.

"If ferritin measures below 40 ng/mL then that person will likely lose hair," Perrault said, "but hair does best at around 70 ng/mL." My ferritin always measured in the 20's — good because it meant I'd never have iron overload. Wrong! I added extra iron to my supplements, got my ferritin up to 51 and months later noticed my hair was healthier; later it rose to 70. I've heard well- meaning experts like Dr. Mercola and Dr. Andrew Weil say "Don't take iron, it's toxic"…but they are bald! Iron is an essential nutrient, required for heart health, brain health, immune strength, energy production and healthy hair. My research finds that more people need to take iron than don't. Studies of healthy postmenopausal women show that as much as half are deficient in iron. I suggest getting a ferritin blood test, then work with your physician to find a dose of iron that gets your ferritin above 40 ng/mL.

Also ask your doctor about a drug called dutasteride— (Avodart) it does wonders to block DHT (dihydrotestosterone) involved in the destruction of hair follicles that cause hair loss. Other supplements with quality published data showing help for hair include 5,000 mcg of biotin per day and tocotrienols, potent antioxidant cousins of vitamin E shown to increase hair count by 41% after only eight months. The best tocotrienol product for hair health is Toco Sorb by Jarrow Formulas.

Rheumatoid Arthritis
Q. I read an issue or so back how you are helping Suzanne Takowsky with her rheumatoid arthritis. How is she doing and what is she taking?

A. When Suzanne came to my house to talk about me writing for BHTM she complained about swollen arthritic fingers, so I gave her three supplements to feel better, and have more energy: SuperNutrition Opti- Energy Pack multivitamins, the world's most potent anti-aging vitamin formula; SuperNutrition Glucosamine + MSM, a strong formula for joint health and joint pain relief, and Jarrow brand MaxDHA omega-3 fish oil capsules (she took five capsules twice a day for optimal anti-inflammatory effects). It's important for people with arthritis to take a lot of fish oil. One/two capsules a day won't crack it. The combination of these three potent formulas dramatically reduces inflammation in the body; a core problem in rheumatoid arthritis.

I had no idea how well it would work, so I was ecstatically surprised when three weeks later Suzanne told me the swelling in her finger joints was reduced by 70%. (Another benefit of taking this combination is healthier, more radiant skin and Suzanne literally glowed when I saw her). However, she still could not get a favorite ring off her finger. Even though swelling decreased …it wasn't enough. I then gave her one of the most potent molecules on the planet and one of the best remedies for arthritis and a dozen other health problems, DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide). I also told her to rub DMSO on her finger joints about two or three times a day and 10 days later that ring came off her finger easily. She still had swelling in two knuckle joints and since she wants to avoid using toxic arthritis drugs, I recommended to her an amazing alternative medicine doctor, Dr. Joseph Sciabbarrasi. DMSO is difficult to find in stores, but it is easy to buy it over the internet. Go to: www.DMSO.net.  I use the DMSO gel, which is 70 % DMSO and 30% Aloe Vera. DMSO has other valuable applications; it healed my torn Achilles tendon without surgery. If only David Beckham knew!

Russian gay activist Nikolai Alekseev was kidnapped, drugged

LezGetReal / Sept 18, 2010 / by JR Russell

It's like something out of a novel. The kind of intrigue you can enjoy because you know it's just too outrageous to be real. Sadly, this time it was all too real. Russia's best known gay activist,  Nikolai Alekseev, was detained prior to boarding a flight to Geneva in Moscow's Domodevo Airport.

Friends were unable to get information from airport security and authorities and the Russian Police said they had no record of him. The following day, the Airport authorities released a statement that he was detained after refusing to remove his shoes in a standard security check. His friends and long-time colleagues smelled a rat.

Alekseev had had his phone briefly following his detention and then it was gone. He had managed quickly to notify the media and his closest friends before communication was cut off. All over the world, people contacted their Russian embassies and consulates asking them where Nikolai Alekseev is.

The next day, messages start to arrive from Nikolai's Swiss mobile phone. He told people that he is in Minsk, claiming political asylum and that he has withdrawn the case against the Mayor of Moscow. A couple of his more canny colleagues text back, asking questions Alekseev would be able to answer. As they suspected, they received no answer.

Fortunately, Alekseev is now back in Moscow, in good enough shape that he has managed to type up a full account of his ordeal and declare his intention to sue the airport and airport security service for violating international law and allowing Nikolai to be arrested by Russian police once already in the international zone of airport departures. One thing is for sure, he doesn't seem to have been convinced to give up the fight. Read his account on his LiveJournal blog:

After this, began talking about a picket against Luzhkov: "You is not tired? You see that everything is easy? "All this was accompanied by terms such as" fag, "" motherf-ckers "," homosexual ", etc. But then I immediately replied that the applicant rally on Tuesday is not that recall on any anything I can not. They also insisted that the formal organizer still me. I was given water to drink already poured into a glass. And I have doubts about the composition of the water. Over the past two days I lost concentration, there was some emotional unresponsiveness. Only a few hours after returning to Moscow today, I realized that it was all on purpose. Nikolai Alekseyev's LiveJournal (Google Translate link)

An interesting footnote: Nikolai credits his Apple iPad with being the only way he was able to determine the location of his interrogation. If only James Bond had an iPad, huh?

Remember:  Boycott Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations and to Proposition 8 (California) to prevent gay marriage. The Formal Boycott began this past weekend. I stopped shopping these stores - even though I want a new washer/dryer and new clothes for the Fall.  I would not purchase "Blood Diamonds," nor should a person / organization be contributing funds to both Hitler / Nazi's and the Jews at the same time!   Obviously giving money to the Jews and not Hitler/Nazi's is the right thing to do.   Hence, these companies violated my trust and well-being.   They gave money to my enemy who would terminate me from my job, deny me housing and send me to a Internment camp.  Therefore, goodbye Target and Best Buy!  The CEO's of these companies have been insensitive to our reaction and do not even comprehend their actions!  What takes so long to "fire" these Neanderthals?
