Ex-WWE Superstar To Be Rob Van Dam's TNA Genesis Mystery Opponent?

There is allegedly a rumor going around that ex-WWE Superstar Matt Hardy may
appear at this Sunday's TNA Genesis pay-per-view event as the mystery
opponent of Rob Van Dam. Hardy stated during a recent interview with
Fanhouse.com that he was released from his WWE contract two weeks before the
company officially announced it, but this is no no way being officially
confirmed as the truth. If this is indeed the case, that would mean that
Hardy's 90-day no-compete clause would have gone into effect beginning the
first week of October 2010, which would make him free to appear at Genesis.
However, sources in TNA Wrestling are shooting down the rumor by revealing
that there is no indication whatsoever that Hardy will be Van Dam's mystery
opponent at the pay-per-view.
