Re: [Peckers_Pics] Male/Gay Health-Discussion-PICS Re: Male/Gay Health-Discussion-PICS Hair Wars- boycott salvation army

Jake,

No dont apologize.  I just didnt know.  The SA in Seattle has helped a number of friends of mine in the past so i felt that volunteering was a bit of helping out.   I do read the articles but due to my job in Alaska sometimes I might peruse a bit too quickly. From now on I will read all of them.  No excuses on this end...btw...you are doing a great job and the pics are good too.

Thanks, Roger

Have a good holiday!!

Moderator: Roger, i have to apologize, that was awful of me. Not, the person i was. just not he salvation army i thought they were when i was a kid. The real salvation army exposed itself. They took us for our money and many of us did volunteer. Some of us stated we worked for them as well. Many knew of wrong doings. They are great for those that are ant-gay. They look so innocent in their outfits at christmas time. But openly turn their back as a organization if one openly practices homosexuuality. it is very sad. I get no pleasure of finding a shop or a charity that turns it back on gays. It only makes gay people angry and negative. It causes a lot of problems with in our community. ....jake

Roger, sorry i jumped down you. But,  so many articles were supplied to this group while you were a member.
You been a memver since 2008! This is Dec 2011, will be 2012, in a few days.
May i ask, do you read the articles?
A member did post a link for you: http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/12/01/9143097-gay-groups-boycott-salvatio\
n-army-red-kettle-drive

This link has been posted a few times before, to include other articles. We had a lot of discussion as well.
The Salvation Army got it's ruling from the US Supreme Court that it may terminate Gay people. Case history!  Salvation Army is a relgious organization and does not accept practicing gay poeple. Not local, but entire organization!  Refuses to employ gay people, house and feed them - if they practice homosexuality.  Is this clear enough?  They expect gay epople to convert to non-practicing-former homosexuality.  I guess we are suppose to go to Marcus Bachmann's clinic or commit suicide.  Is this clear enough?  We do know that gay people have been terminated, rejected, etc. After Katrina, gays were turned away. My money, as well as the money as listed by the entire LGBT community (not just this group) is not given to the Salvation Army. Therefore, calling the Salvation Army a wonderful charity is false. Perhaps if one is anti-gay - it is a wonderful organization.
Thanks for understanding the issue and please spread the word.
Sorry, if this hits home, or they emply some-one you know. Do not tell them you are gay if they do so.
This is not local. This is national and world wide. If your local chapter ignores this, remember, they still send funds to the national organization and it gets intnl.  The entire organization is anti-gay and it is well documented. Perhaps the the number 1 most anti-gay charity in the world.

Under the notion that we discussed it and you will not listen, suggest that you Googlle salvation army and gays. Salvayion army is being boycotted by entire LGBT commity and not just me, us. Salvation army has policy not to hire practicing gay pople nor feed practicing gay poeple, nopr shelter practicing gay people. That is not good enough for you? Than, I doubt anything you read, watch shall get throught to you. Oh is hannity on tonight? what is glenn becks schedule? ....jake
