Take Action:

• Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS!  Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
• Call the White House and let them know you are angry about the situation in UGANDA.  Uganda legislation calls for the Death Penalty for Gay People and mandatory Jail Sentence for anyone who does not report someone they know who is Gay!  This is Genocide!  Tel. the White House at 1-202-456-1111  ...., Fax White House @ FAX: 202-456-2461 .  Contact your local LGBT Community Center and see what they can do to express your/their anger!
• We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
• Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers.  Bill discussed a French commerical by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to get be Al-Qaida friendly as well?  Further, Bill said that McDonalds would never show a gay friendly commercial in the USA.   We view this as Bill comparing Gays to Al-Qaida. How dare these people make this comparison.  Come on McDonalds, we want to see a USA Gay Friendly commerical on Network TV!  I will eat your burgers everyday for 365 days in a year if you do this! 
• Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities.  A remedy: Demand Republicans to  support Immigration Reform.  So Far, Republicans will not cooperate.  Are we all suppose to walk around with Birth Certificates in our hands?  Are we all suppose to "look 'White' or go to jail" (until all documents prove you are American)?  What if Arizona does not like Gay People?  Will that person be hastled for vertification of being a American?  Oh Wait, Arizona does not have laws protecting gay people nor rendering them equal rights. Oops! "My Bad" -  for not remembering.  I guess "Arizona does not like gay people."  Gay in Arizona and tanned?  You better have your papers!

5 Minutes to a Successful Day

 

There are 1,440 minutes in a 24-hour period, but it only takes five to ensure your success for the entire day. In this short amount of time you can write a daily to-do list that schedules your weight-loss goals into your calendar. Each night, pencil in your morning exercise session, write down what you plan to eat and make note of any other goal-oriented plans you have for the day.

Lay out the next day's clothes near the bed, so you don't have to scramble to find them in the morning. Make your lunch, and check to make sure you have the food you need for a healthy dinner. The whole process can take as little as five minutes, especially once you get into a routine of doing this each evening. Writing down your goals serves as an incentive and a well-laid plan to make them a reality.

Iceland passes gay marriage law in unanimous vote

June 11, 2010; (Reuters) - Iceland, the only country in the world to have an openly gay head of state, passed a law on Friday allowing same-sex partners to get married in a vote which met with no political resistance.

The Althingi parliament voted 49 to zero to change the wording of marriage legislation to include matrimony between "man and man, woman and woman," in addition to unions between men and women.

Iceland, a socially tolerant island nation of about 320,000 people, became the first country to elect an openly gay head of state in 2009 when Social Democrat Johanna Sigurdardottir became prime minister after being nominated by her party.

"The attitude in Iceland is fairly pragmatic," said Gunnar Helgi Kristinsson, a political scientist at the University of Iceland. "It (gay marriage) has not been a big issue in national politics -- it's not been controversial."

The prime minister's sexual orientation garnered far more interest among foreign media than in Iceland, where the attitude toward homosexuality has grown increasingly relaxed in the past two or three decades, Kristinsson added.

Iceland's protestant church has yet to decide whether to allow same-sex marriages in church, although the law says "ministers will always be free to perform (gay) marriage ceremonies, but never obliged to."

The largely protestant countries of northern Europe, including Sweden, Norway and Denmark, have all endorsed some form of civil union between same-sex couples, but the issue creates more controversy in Mediterranean Catholic nations.

In the United States, gay marriage remains a frought political issue, with laws varying widely from state to state. Vermont was the first state to allow same-sex civil unions in 1999, followed by Massachusetts and Connecticut and others.
