Boycott "Whole Foods" Grocery Stores: Their CEO is against Health Care Reform. Also, Whole Foods is blocking unionization. Check out Trader Joe's instead. Due to the boycott & pressure from stockholders, their CEO has stepped down; But, remains on the Board. Further, Whole Foods has made no retraction of these anti-Healthcare reform comments & continues to support Republican agenda. -
Boycott Exxon OIL. Do not purchase their GAS. "Exxon scored as the worst company for the LGBT to work for!" In fact, before Exxon purchased Mobil Oil, Mobile had same gender partner benefits. Well, that changed for those employees when Exxon purchased Mobil - as same gender-partner benefits went out the door! Therefore, as we have choices, we don't need Exxon. -
Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS! Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights. -
We demand Public Option to be added to Health Reform. -

Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities. A remedy: Demand Republicans to support Immigration Reform. So Far, Republicans will not cooperate. Are we all suppose to walk around with Birth Certificates in our hands? Are we all suppose to "look 'White' or go to jail" (until all documents prove you are American)? What if Arizona does not like Gay People? Will that person be hastled for vertification of being a American? Oh Wait, Arizona does not have laws protecting gay people nor rendering them equal rights. Oops! "My Bad" - for not remembering. I guess "Arizona does not like gay people." Gay in Arizona and tanned? You better have your papers! Diet & Fitness: -

It is our hope that these photos shall inspire you! Today's Health/Excercise Tip: What's Your Excuse? I've had patients tell me "I'm genetically meant to be overweight and will never be skinny." While genetics certainly do play a role in how you store and burn fat, blaming your genes won't do you any good. Some people do carry what scientists call a "thrifty gene," which makes their bodies resist fat burning.
Notice that I said "resist" not "completely stop" burning fat. You can lose weight, even if your genes are stubbornly holding onto fat. You'll just have to work a little harder than someone without this gene in order to lose the weight and keep it off. Another excuse I often hear is "I'm too fat to exercise!" This notion is a false-hood! While certain types of exercise may not be best suited for your body, there are plenty of exercises you can – and should – do. Start slow and build up a healthy base. Don't try to do more than your body can handle right now. And Now, Model Wars! This group is called "Peckers PICS." The English - slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues. In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!" Whereas, who is the model that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit?" Warning: This may stoke you! Chris Cuba VS Nate Ryder You Decide! Stoked? Queens (Jackson Heights, NY) Gay Pride; June 6, 2010 Some Hospitals Falling Short of Protecting for Gay Patients Janice Simmons, for HealthLeaders Media, June 8, 2010 These policies, though, may soon by changing. In April, President Obama requested that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius initiate rulemaking to lift restrictions on unrelated visitors to act as surrogate decision makers and to visit hospitalized patients. The ruling would affect hospitals that participate in Medicare or Medicare, is expected in several months. While the "good news is the healthcare landscape is about to change dramatically . . . the sad reality it the status quo is very poor," said Joe Solmonese, HRC's president, in a teleconference on Monday. He called for hospitals to move ahead of the proposed legislation to draft more inclusive policies on their own. Kaiser Permanente, which recently updated its Patients' Bill of Rights to protect lesbian and gay patients and their families, from discrimination, on Monday became the first large health network to have a fully inclusive non discrimination policy for gay individuals. Kaiser Permanente's network of 36 hospitals also achieved Top Performer status in the HRC Foundation's Healthcare Equality Index. The survey also included data from 178 facilities across the country that voluntarily provided information on patient non discrimination, visitation, cultural competency training, and employment non discrimination issues. Of the 178 facilities nationwide, 11 individual facilities and one network of 36 hospitals received "perfect" ratings. Forty two facilities (one network representing 31 hospitals, 8 individual hospitals and 3 clinics) received top performer status (aside from Kaiser Permanente): - Advocate Illinois Masonic, Chicago;
- Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA;
- Beth Israel Medical Center, New York;
- Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, NY;
- Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston;
- Group Health Central Hospital, Seattle;
- LA Gay and Lesbian Center, Los Angeles;
- Penobscot Community Health Center, Bangor, ME;
- Rush University Medical Center, Chicago;
- University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, San Franscisco;
- University of Texax MD The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston.n evaluation of 200 of the nation's largest hospitals found that 42% currently do not have policies in place to fully protect gay and lesbian patients from restrictions based on sexual orientation, according to a report released Monday by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.
"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges." ....Jake
