Take Action:
- Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS! Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
- We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
- Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commerical by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to get be Al-Qaida friendly as well? Further, Bill said that McDonalds would never show a gay friendly commercial in the USA. Imagine, Bill is comparing Gays to Al-Qaida.
- Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities. A remedy: Demand Republicans to support Immigration Reform.
- NEW: Boycott Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations.
- Did you complete your Diet Journal today? Get it done!
- Did you do any physical activity? If not, make a point of it by tomorrow!

And Now, Model Wars!Today's Health/Exercise Tip:B vitamins found to halve aging brain shrinkagePublished September 09, 2010 / LONDON (Reuters) - Daily tablets of large doses of B vitamins can halve the rate of brain shrinkage in elderly people with memory problems and may slow their progression towards dementia, data from a British trial showed on Wednesday.Scientists from Oxford University said their two-year clinical trial was the largest to date into the effect of B vitamins on so-called "mild cognitive impairment" - a major risk factor for Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.Experts commenting on the findings said they were important and called for larger, longer full-scale clinical trials to see if the safety and effectiveness of B vitamins in the prevention of neurodegenerative conditions could be confirmed.
"This is a very dramatic and striking result. It's much more than we could have predicted," said David Smith of Oxford's department of pharmacology, who co-led the trial.
"It is our hope that this simple and safe treatment will delay development of Alzheimer's in many people who suffer from mild memory problems."
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) affects around 16 percent of people aged over 70 worldwide and is characterized by slight problems with memory loss, language or other mental functions.
MCI does not usually interfere with daily life, but around 50 percent of people diagnosed with it go on to develop the far more severe Alzheimer's disease within five years. Alzheimer's is a mind-wasting disease for which there are few treatments and no cure, and which affects 26 million people around the world.
Smith and colleagues conducted a two-year trial with 168 volunteers with MCI who were given either a vitamin pill containing very high doses of folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12, or a placebo dummy pill.
These B vitamins are known to control levels of an amino acid called homocysteine in the blood, and high blood levels of homocysteine are linked to an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
Helga Refsum, who also worked on the trial, stressed that vitamins were given in extremely high doses.
"This is a drug, not a vitamin intervention," she said.
The pills, called "TrioBe Plus" contained around 300 times the recommended daily intake of B12, four times daily advised folate levels and 15 times the recommended amount of B6.
Brain scans were taken at the beginning and the end of the trial to monitor the rate of brain shrinkage, or atrophy.
The results, published in the Public Library of Science (PLoS) One journal, showed that on average the brains of those taking the vitamin treatment shrank at a rate of 0.76 percent a year, while those taking the dummy pill had an average brain shrinkage of 1.08 percent.
People who had the highest levels of homocysteine at the start of the trial benefited the most from the treatment, with their brains shrinking at half the rate of those on the placebo.
Although the trial was not designed to measure cognitive ability, the researchers found those people who had lowest rates of shrinkage had the highest scores in mental tests.
Commenting on the study, Paul Matthews, a professor of clinical neurology at Imperial College London said that although the vitamins used are generally safe and inexpensive, the study "should not drive an immediate change in clinical practice."
"Instead, it sets out important questions for further study and gives new confidence that effective treatments modifying the course of some dementias may be in sight," he said.

Palin, DeMint Endorse Christine 'I Never Said Mike Castle Is Gay' O'Donnell
By Carlos Santoscoy / September 11, 2010 / On Top Magazine
Christine O'Donnell received three prominent endorsements this week in her bid to represent Delaware in the U.S. Senate. The news comes as O'Donnell continues to suggest that her Republican rival, Rep. Mike Castle, is gay.
O'Donnell received the backing of the National Rifle Association (NRA), conservative Republican Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
The Tea Party Express, O'Donnell's biggest backer, announced that DeMint, chairman of the Senate Conservatives Fund, has endorsed O'Donnell.
The 41-year-old marketing consultant tweeted on Thursday, "Just got Gov. Palin's endorsement! Thank you for your prayers!"
The pile of support comes amid allegations of gay baiting.
In a video posted at Liberty.com, a female newscaster praises O'Donnell, then suggests that her September 14 GOP primary opponent, Rep. Mike Castle, is gay.
"Isn't Mike Castle cheating on his wife with a man?" an unseen voice asks.
"That's the rumor," the gleeful newscaster responds.
In denying any involvement in the rumor, O'Donnell continued to repeat the claim.
"I think that that's a very tacky approach," she said last Thursday on WGMD's radio show the Dan Gaffney Show. "I never said that Mike Castle was gay I don't endorse putting out rumors that Mike Castle is gay."
And in an interview Thursday on the Mark Levin Show, O'Donnell repeated the suggestion: "You know these are the types of cheap underhanded, unmanly tactics that we've come to expect from Obama's favorite Republican, Mike Castle. You know I released a statement today saying, Mike Castle this is not a bake-off. Get your man pants on."
O'Donnell is best known for her old-fashioned views about sex. She is the founder of the Saviors Alliance for Lifting the Truth (SALT), a Christian-based group that promotes abstinence. According to O'Donnell, masturbation is wrong, and looking at pornography is equivalent to cheating on your spouse.
Last month, Palin spoke to an anti-gay group in Pennsylvania, and she has previously endorsed anti-gay Karen Handel in her bid to become Georgia's next governor. Handl, who recently said she would "absolutely" consider a bill that prohibits gay and lesbian couples from adopting children, lost her bid for the GOP nomination.
"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
Remember: Boycott Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations and to Proposition 8 (California) to prevent gay marriage. The Formal Boycott began this past weekend. I stopped shopping these stores - even though I want a new washer/dryer and new clothes for the Fall. I would not purchase "Blood Diamonds," nor should a person / organization be contributing funds to both Hitler / Nazi's and the Jews at the same time! Obviously giving money to the Jews and not Hitler/Nazi's is the right thing to do. Hence, these companies violated my trust and well-being. They gave money to my enemy who would terminate me from my job, deny me housing and send me to a Internment camp. Therefore, goodbye Target and Best Buy! The CEO's of these companies have been insensitive to our reaction and do not even comprehend their actions! What takes so long to "fire" these Neanderthals?
