Re: [Peckers_Pics] Twink Wars; Nov 18, 2010 - Safe PICS For All Ages, Rated G

I would like to point out that in the 1970s the Republican Party leadership, without exception, opposed the ERA (Equal Rights Ammendment) for women. That should tell you a great deal about the current Tea-publican party and the women who support it.  These are really strange and twisted people who refuse to think about anything.

I agree completely with what you are saying Jake, and I find it interesting that if the radical right that Sarah Palin is supporting was in power during the time that women's rights were inacted, it would not have happened. The people that she stands with would be fighting to keep women in the home and quite.

Sorry what I mean by the radical are the one who goes as far as damaging and destroying private and/or private property of citizens just because they don't accept their alternative lifestyles. But I know I am just one person's opinion here. But this is a free country and we are to speak our mind if needed, beside I wasn't talking about Sarah Palin but her daughters.

Moderator: Please name me one case the LGBT community has ever
defaced anything? However i can name you several LGBT community
centers that were defaced by right wing radicals. What about the anti-gay westboro church that protests funerals of our soliders that
have died in war? I have never been to a violent pro-gay pride rally. I have never sen a pro gay march deface anything? But,
isn't it interestign that before women one the right to vote in the early 1900's that they marched in front of the while house3,
handcuffed themselves to the white house fence and were arrested? were they radicals? Or were they true patriots protecting our
democratic rights? Shame on you for passing false rumors. Shame on Sarah Palin for being a terrible mother and not demanding a public apology
by her daughters for their anti-gay slurs. Or did you not know that Sarah Palin is ati-gay? .....Jake

Yes, the author is right about the Palin's sisters. They really should gracious young ladies and put their foot into their mouth to keep smearing their name all over the board. I can see these ladies are not going to be following their mother's footstep into the political arena because they surely don't know how to keep their mouth shut and say things that the public needs to hear. Personally, NO ONE, and I mean, NO ONE should ever be bias towards any groups in our society, even the radical GLTB society. -- Matt

Moderator: The Radical LHBT Society? Huh? protecting rh
consititution in persuing human rights ois radical? I for one think
it is a conservative philospohy. And Sarah Palin can keep her mouth

Willow, Bristol Palin defend `Sarah Palin's Alaska' with cursing, gay slurs

Examiner; Nov 17, 2010; by Charisse Van Horn

Willow Palin and her big sister Bristol Palin took to Facebook to defend their mother's new show: Sarah Palin's Alaska.  The show premiered November 14, 2010 to record views with approximately 5 million viewers tuning in to get a look at Alaska Palin style.  The latest upheaval broke out on Facebook when a user (apparently a teen from Alaska who is familiar with Willow Palin, 16, )posted on Facebook that Sarah Palin's Alaska wasn't doing well- apparently, the poster "Tre" didn't check with the ratings.

The following are the messages posted to Facebook between Bristol Palin, Tre and Willow Palin.  The grammatical errors have been left in place.  TMZ saved the messages from Facebook in a PDF document.  You may read the full document in the video player to the left.

He wrote, "Sarah Palin's Alaska is failing soo hard right now.

Bristol Palin responded by saying Tre was running his mouth to talk s*** then continued, "No, you just run your mouth just so you'll get a reaction.  You're a typical s*** talker.  Talking s*** cause you have nothing else going for you.  Just like you pretended you didn't know what Dancing with the Stars was."

It didn't take long before Willow Palin chimed in with, "Don't watch it dumb s***."

The discourse continues along the same vein, until Willow Palin chose to use some gay slurs which will more than offend the homosexual community.  Using words such as `gay' and `faggot' may be commonplace to many people in America, but there is a concerted effort by the homosexual community to have these words replaced for they are offensive.  CNN's Anderson Cooper took issue with the word `gay' being used in a derogatory manner in the trailer for Vince Vaughn's new movie The Dilemma.  Anderson Cooper was offended and subsequently, the gay joke has been removed from the trailer.

With the recent rise in gay suicide many are on edge and on guard regarding the use of these hateful words.  They have been likened to other offensive words, such as the N word.

After the topic of conversation continued, Willow Palin chimed in with, "Ha ha, your so gay.  I have no idea who you are.  But what I've seen pictures of, your disgusting…My sister had a kid and is still hot.  And don't talk s*** Andy."  She continued, "Tre stfu.  Your such a faggot."

The Palin girls may benefit by ignoring these types of comments and let the ratings speak for the success of Palin's Alaska.

Bristol Palin is currently on Dancing with the Stars and it was announced last night that she made it to the finale.

Obama calls Levin to urge lame-duck 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal
Nov 17, 2010; Politico; Josh Gerstein

President Barack Obama took steps on Wednesday to force a Senate vote on legislation that would begin to dismantle the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy banning openly gay service members during the ongoing lame-duck legislative session, hosting a second White House strategy session with gay rights advocates and personally lobbying a key lawmaker who favors repeal of the ban.

On Wednesday evening, several high-ranking administration officials and top members of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's staff met with gay rights advocates to review plans to bring the National Defense Authorization Act - an annual, must-pass military spending bill which contains language repealing the ban on gays in the military - to a vote in the coming weeks.

Reid and Obama are "committed to moving forward on repeal" by bringing the bill to the floor "in the lame duck session after the Thanksgiving recess," according to a statement released by the Center for American Progress, a left-leaning think tank whose representatives were at the meeting. "Further, the Majority Leader and the President made clear their opposition to removing the DADT provision from the NDAA. Information on the exact timing and procedural conditions will be announced by the Majority Leader's office."

Also Wednesday, Obama - who advocates criticized for not doing enough to influence the Senate vote - called Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.) to "reiterate his commitment on keeping the repeal of, and the need for the Senate to pass this legislation during the lame duck," White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Wednesday afternoon.

There was no word of personal contact between the president and other senators, but Inouye said others at the White House have been lobbying the Senate to pass the defense spending bill with the "don't ask" language intact. "The President's call follows the outreach over the past week by the White House to dozens of Senators from both sides of the aisle on this issue," Inouye said

Levin's committee placed language repealing "don't ask" in the defense bill in May, but when Reid tried to bring the bill to the floor in September, Republicans and a couple of Democrats filibustered, sidetracking it. Some gay rights advocates complained that Obama didn't do much Senate lobbying to move the bill then, but the president - who has vowed to end the ban on his watch, but insists only the Senate can do it - said the ongoing lame-duck session is the best option for repeal.

Meanwhile, a group of lawmakers and gay rights advocates announced they will hold a press conference Thursday to call on the Senate to vote on the defense authorization bill.
The group includes Senator Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), and Senate Democrats Mark Udall of Colorado, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Roland Burris of Illinois, Californians Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, Oregon's Ron Wyden Patrick Leahy of Vermont and Al Franken of Minnesota. They will be joined by representatives from the gay rights group Human Rights Campaign, the pro-repeal groups Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and Servicemembers United along with Center for American Progress Action Fund, and Third Way.

The White House is under fire for the Justice Department's moves to defend the ban on gay men and lesbians in uniform against a lawsuit brought by the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay political advocacy group. A federal judge sided with the Log Cabin Republicans and declared the policy unconstitutional, but the administration - which insists it opposes "don't ask" but is bound to defend Congressional mandates when plausible arguments exist - sought and won court rulings that allow the ban to stay in place until the appellate process is completed.

On Monday, Lieberman and Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, sent a letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, urging him to make public a highly-anticipated report about the effects the repeal could have on the military. The report, the senators wrote, could influence their colleagues to take action before the clock runs out and Congress departs for the year.

"Some of our colleagues in the Senate share our view about the importance of passing a defense bill but they are awaiting release of the working group's report before agreeing to begin debate on the bill," Collins and Lieberman wrote. The report, they continue, "will help inform their understanding and alleviate some concerns they may have…. Given the limited amount of time remaining in the 111th Congress, the soonest possible release of the working group's report could therefore be instrumental in allowing the defense bill to move forward."

In October, the president joined a White House strategy meeting with repeal advocates. Both Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates have also said publicly they'd like to see that measure pass before Congress adjourns in December.

There are other priority items, too, however, like tax cut extensions and a nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia. No action is planned on the defense bill this week, so it will likely be among many bills competing for Senate floor time during the limited time the current Congress has left after the Thanksgiving break.

The "don't ask, don't tell" policy was mandated by Congress in legislation passed in 1993 and signed by President Bill Clinton.

URGENT:  Boycott Gold's Gym, Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations and to Proposition 8 (California) to prevent gay marriage. I would not purchase "Blood Diamonds," nor should a person / organization be contributing funds to both Hitler / Nazi's and the Jews at the same time!   Obviously giving money to the Jews and not Hitler/Nazi's was the right thing to do.   Hence, these companies violated my trust and well-being.   They gave money to my enemy who would terminate me from my job, deny me housing and send me to a Internment camp.  Therefore, goodbye Gold's Gym, Target and Best Buy!  The CEO's of these companies have been insensitive to our reaction and do not even comprehend their actions!  What takes so long to "fire" these Neanderthals?
