Double Crunch Your Way to a Six-Pack

Not another crunch! If that's what you're thinking, let me give you three eye-opening reasons why you should commit to weekly crunches: First off, crunches are easy to do. Second, they target numerous abdominal muscles – including your internal and external obliques and rectus abdominus – all at once. Third, abdominal muscles can actually improve back problems – and posture – by lending greater support to your torso. So what are you waiting for? Let's crunch:

Step 1: Lie on a mat or towel. Place your hands behind your head. Pull your heels toward your butt as far as you can. Keep your elbows and chin up, abs tight.

Step 2: Using your upper abs, breathe slowly as you crunch up while simultaneously pulling your knees in through a count of 10 seconds.

Step 3: Hold and squeeze at the maximum tension point for 2 seconds.
 
Step 4: Return to the starting point through a count of 10 seconds, never letting your upper back touch the ground.

Step 5: Repeat three times without resting. (Note: The range of motion on this exercise is very short, so be sure to adjust your speed so that you hit the MTP on the count of 10.)

  • Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commercial by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to be Al-Qaida friendly as well? Imagine - Bill O'Reilly compares Gays to Al-Qaida! Further, Boycott Fox's Owner "Rupert Murcoch" and get him thrown in jail for illegal - Take Action:
    political donations, corruption, greed, bribery, hacking!
  • Boycott Target, Best Buy, Gold's Gym - for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations. Update: (12/26/2010): Target is continuing to donate to anti-gay groups/causes/politicians. Update 03/08/11 - Lady Gaga Ends Target Partnership, Reportedly Over Target's Poor LGBT Stance. Update 3/25/2010 - Target displays their hypocrisy and Sues California Gay Rights Group for Lobbying Outside Stores. Target is attempting to block the LGBT right of free speech! STOP SHOPPING AT TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update 4/8/2011: Target lost its case to stop the LGBT from canvassing in front of their stores. A huge PR Disaster for TARGET! Perhaps Target should go out of business as they betrayed their investers and customer base. Target contributed massive funds to a politician who would like to exterminate gays. Now, Target can not stop us from Boycotting them, nor picketing, nor talking to customers near their stores; although, Target allows a anti-gay company such as the Salvation Army to stand outside their door and speak with customers and raise money. Isn't this a double standard?
  • End DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). Prevents Federal employees and Gays in the Military from gaining equal benefits. Prevents Gay Partners from gaining equal benefits.
  • Pass a LGBT friendly ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act). ENDA would prevent employment discrimination of LGBT workforce.
  • Boycott Salvation Army as they will not hire Gays! "DO NOT DONATE TO THEM."
  • BOYCOTT "Chick-fil-a" for donating money to anti-gay groups.
  • BOYCOTT KOCH INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS- to include their products: Angel Soft toilet paper / Brawny paper towels / Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups / Mardi Gras napkins and towels / Quilted Northern toilet paper / Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper / Sparkle napkins / Vanity fair napkins / Zee napkins / Georgia-Pacific paper products & envelopes / All Georgia-Pacific lumber & building products (INVISTA Products) / Lycra / Stainmaster Carpet. The billionaire - Koch brothers are ultra republican - tea bag founders/supporters that do not support causes of the LGBT community.
  • Boycott WALMART - The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force criticized Wal-Mart for denying employee benefits to same-s-x partners and for failing to prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. By comparison, the group said two other chain stores with a strong presence in New York, Costco and Walgreens, did much better.
  • "Tune Out Trump", Boycott all Trump Hotel, casinos, holdings, The Apprentice and NBC Network! At CPAC, Trump said he is considering a run for president as a Republican. In a interview with the Des Moines Register, Trump added that he opposes all forms of legal recognition for gay couples, not just marriage. "They should not be able to marry," he said. So why does NBC keep the Apprentice when Donald Trump has stated he may run for president? After making racist remarks about Obama and recv'g public backlash, Trump decided not to run for president after NBC renewed his awful TV Show. How can NBC re-new the clown's show after he pulled such hateful shenanigans?
  • Boycott Georgia for Execution of Troy Davis @ 11:08 EST, Sep 21, 2011:
    Former US President and Former GA Gov. Jimmy Carter felt that TROY DAVIS should not be executed and deserved a re-trial. The Former Director of the FBI felt that TROY DAVIS Was Not Guilty! Romney Millions Fuel Anti-Gay Crusade

Surely one among many realities Mitt Romney hoped he could keep on the down low regarding his tax returns is how much tax-exempt money he donated to the Mormon Church.

 As it turns out, he gave almost as much of the nearly $43 million dollars he made in 2010 and 2011 to the highly politically active Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints -- at the center of a firestorm since 2008 for its backing of Prop 8 in California -- as he paid in taxes: roughly 10 percent vs. 13.9 percent.

It's not that anyone doubted Romney's donations to his church (Mormons in good standing are expected to give 10 percent of their income in tithing each year, approximately the amount Romney has donated), but the release of his 2010 tax return and 2011 estimated taxes shines a bright light on his strong commitment to the LDS church, something that exacerbates tensions on both the left and the right. He served as a bishop in the church, which helped open doors for him in business and which he's rewarded, as well, helping the church make millions of dollars, including through Bain Capital.

For evangelicals leaders, some of whom have been attacking him on the campaign trail, it's just another reminder that he is helping to further a church they see as a threat to traditional Christianity.

And for moderates it's a reminder that Romney is a strong adherent -- morally and financially -- to a church that is on a moral crusade against women's right to choose and, most prominently in recent years, against gay rights. The Mormon Church was the focus of protests across the country after Proposition 8 passed in California, banning marriage for gays and lesbians. Church leaders had urged members to give money to the cause, and some estimates put that amount at over $20 million. The church itself gave over $180,000 to help pass Prop 8. The church was fined by the California Fair Political Practices Commission for not reporting its numerous financial contributions to the cause.

Romney is on record supporting a federal marriage amendment banning marriages for gays and lesbians in the Constitution, and opposes gay marriage. So his own beliefs are not out of line with those of the Mormon Church. But he's also claimed he doesn't believe in discrimination against gays and has tried to couch himself as more moderate than Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich. He refused to sign the Family Leader's controversial marriage pledge (though he did sign the National Organization for Marriage's pledge).

But the Mormon Church has not been subtle about its gay bashing, politically organizing against gay rights for decades, for years promoting its own "pray away the gay" program. Up until the 1970s the LDS church was even using brutal electroshock therapy to supposedly "cure" gays.

In addition to much else, the release of the tax returns emphasizes that Romney is completely down with the religious crusade of a well-funded organization hellbent on stopping the LGBT rights movement in America.
