Garbage Day

Once a week, I take my trash to the curb so it can be picked up and hauled away. As I was performing that task this morning, I thought about all the excess negative baggage I carry.   I said to myself, "Wouldn't it be great if it were also this easy to get rid of emotional garbage?"

The old baggage we carry with us can be just as foul and unpleasant as the curb garbage we dispose of every week. For those of you who knowingly carry this with you every day, try this: Pick a day and call it your "Emotional Garbage Day." Then, figuratively speaking, take your baggage out to the curb. This may simply take an act of will while, for others, counseling may be needed. Regardless, it's time to dispose of your garbage and start living a happier and more present-focused life.
And Now, Our War of the Fittest!
This group is called "Peckers PICS."  The English -  slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health, Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues.  In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!"  Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!"   Warning: This may stoke you!

Tea Party Members Find Slur No Big Deal.

Helena, Montana - Viciously anti-gay remarks made in a Facebook posting have led to the ouster of Tim Ravndal, the President of Montana's Big Sky Tea Party Association.

But hold on: Ravndal may soon be reinstated, because his allies on the board think the sacking was unfair.

The flap began when a tea party activist from rural Miles City in the eastern part of the state added to a Facebook conversation about gay marriage that Ravndal had initiated. The activist, Dennis Scranton, made a not-so-veiled reference to the torture-murder of gay student Matthew Shepherd, who was left for dead hanging on a Wyoming fence.

Scranton posted: "I think fruits are decorative. Hang up where they can be seen and appreciated. Call Wyoming for display instructions."

In response, Ravndal asked where he could "get that instruction manual" -- appearing to buy into the sick joke. And even though he has since apologized ("I wish my apology could have been directed to the famly of Matthew"), Ravndal was stripped of his position and membership without getting a chance to defend himself.

In an ensuing meeting, 30 Big Sky Tea Party members came out in strong support of Ravndal, calling the ouster hasty, unfair, cruel and unnecessary. Many believe Ravndal's posting was manipulated by gay rights groups, liberals and the media.

But the group must also contend with the fact that board member Kristi Allen-Gailushas has thrown fuel on the fire by posting on her own Facebook page, "The Gay community wants a war....They've got one!!"

The board is expected to meet soon to consider giving Ravndal back his post.

"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."

Remember:  Boycott Target and Best Buy for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations and to Proposition 8 (California) to prevent gay marriage. The Formal Boycott began this past weekend. I stopped shopping these stores - even though I want a new washer/dryer and new clothes for the Fall.  I would not purchase "Blood Diamonds," nor should a person / organization be contributing funds to both Hitler / Nazi's and the Jews at the same time!   Obviously giving money to the Jews and not Hitler/Nazi's is the right thing to do.   Hence, these companies violated my trust and well-being.   They gave money to my enemy who would terminate me from my job, deny me housing and send me to a Internment camp.  Therefore, goodbye Target and Best Buy!  The CEO's of these companies have been insensitive to our reaction and do not even comprehend their actions!  What takes so long to "fire" these Neanderthals?
