WWE taped this week's Smackdown last night from the Cajundome in Lafayette,
Louisiana. Thanks to Wrestling News World reader Brad Nixon for sending us
results. Below are full results:
Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy):
* The show opens with Edge out. He shows a video recapping the Paul Bearer
kidnapping angle with World Heavyweight Champion Kane. Edge says he will win
the title on Sunday.
* Backstage, Teddy Long speaks with Edge and informs when his title match
against Kane at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs will now be a Fatal 4-Way
Match involving Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio
* Kaval & Kofi Kingston b. WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler &
Jack Swagger
* Backstage, WWE Champion The Miz plugs his match against Randy Orton at WWE
TLC.
* A new segment called JTG Straight Outta Brooklyn was taped.
* Backstage, Drew McIntyre flirts with Kelly Kelly
* "Dashing" Cody Rhodes delivers a grooming tip on how to keep your hair
healthy before beating Chris Masters in a match.
* WWE Champion The Miz b. Rey Mysterio when Alberto Del Rio came out and
took out Mysterio. Edge hit the ring for the save. Teddy Long comes out and
announces Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio & The Miz as the show's
main event.
* LayCool come out and call Beth Phoenix and WWE Divas Champion Natalya out.
They come out with a table wrapped like a Christmas gift. A scuffle ensues
with Layla nearly getting put through a table but Michelle made the save.
* WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov b. Chavo Guerrero
& Tyler Reks
* Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. WWE Champion The Miz & Alberto Del Rio ended in no
contest when World Heavyweight Champion Kane came out and took out Edge.
They fought outside with others trying to separate them. Drew McIntyre goes
at it with Mysterio. Edge finally is able to Spear Kane to end the show.
Dark Match Main Event:
* Edge b. World Heavyweight Champion Kane via disqualification when Kane
used a chair.
