With social media such as Facebook and especially Twitter so
accessible to everyone it seems there is a growing trend of internet
"reporters" reading a Tweet and writing a story around that or reading
information readily available on WWE.com (TNAWrestling.com,
ROHWrestling.com, etc.) and reposting it as some breaking news story.
For instance Lords of Pain (this is one of their writers and not just
a copy and paste) has a headline that reads "Rikishi Unhappy With
Sons' Treatment On Raw, WWE Spotlighting "Million Dollar Man"". The
Rikishi story is completely sourced from two Tweets he made over 24
hours before the piece was listed. The other is that Classics on
Demand is featuring Million Dollar Man. This info is available to
anyone who checks WWE Classics on Demand.
Unfortunately it appears that the majority of "news" on these sites is
from info readily available and this is also the case on the most
reputable of sites.
