Not bordering on illegal, and not even close. It is not 'Linda McMahon For Senate' merchandise, it is WWE merchandise, and they could stand right outside the door of a polling place and hand it out and it is perfectly legal.

Now if Vinnie Mac isn't bordering on the illegal, he is now! Vinnie Mac's plan NOW is to give away free WWE merchandise near the Connecticut Voting Places.
"WWE has announced that they will be giving away free WWE merchandise near select polling locations in Connecticut on Election Day, November 2nd. WWE says it is their way of celebrating "the victory of restoring voters' right to wear WWE clothing at the polls."
"I can't think of a better way for WWE fans to celebrate their constitutional rights and freedom of expression while voting than to proudly wear the WWE merchandise that Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz attempted to prohibit from the polls," said Vince McMahon.
The press release noted that out of respect for voters from all parties, WWE won't be handing out the merchandise within 75 feet of polling locations. The free merchandise will be available on a first come, first served basis."
Yeah. "Out Of Respect" means if they did it anywhere closer to the polling places they would get into trouble!
Also Keith Olbermann on "Countdown" aired the Trish Stratus "barking like a dog" moment with Linda McMahon defending it. Just mentioning it since Olbermann is a blowhard!
