Your comment here is insulting and demeaning to members of this group that are people of faith and who do understand the importantance of history.

 

The reason that Hitler was able to do what he did was that in germany one had to pay do schooling above Grade 3 or 5 I beliebe and many parents couldn't afford it.

It was mainly for the text books etc.

 

My landlady is German and her grandfather who was in charge of having Russian P.O.W.s make railroad cars risked his life and that of his wife by supplementing the Russian P.O.W.s rations with cooked vegetables from their garden

 

When the camp and the work area was liberated by the Russian troops in 1945 it was because of this that the Russian soldiers stopped beating him to deatha s many of the inmates came forward and said don't hurt him he helped us.

 

Shall we all gay or Straight Jew or Christian Buddhist or Hindu forget what Man has done out of His own evilness?/

do not blame all people of faith for those that have good and pure hearts and who would help the helpless no matter what faith or ethnic background or sexual persuasion that they were.

@Lynn: Thank you SSOO much Lynn, for being able to say what I wanted to say.... but in a much more compassionate and "nicely" written manner!! Religion CAN & DOES make people bad!! I've personally experienced it first hand, with my Farther than Right, so-called Christian, off the scale conservative, parents & younger sister! I'm 38yrs old, and they have nothing to do with me, my loving partner & now even treat my daughter horribly (who they always treated lovingly, despite their disdain for me), all because I'm gay! The things they have said to me and done to me intentionally, and now have nothing to do with me, would make any decent person sick! But in the overall scheme of things, it's not about me..... because I'm still alive! It's about all the other gay teenagers, young adults, and even middle aged adults, that couldn't fight back enough for themselves & committed suicide, or were killed by so-called Christian hate mongers (BAD PEOPLE) To the core! I'm aware there are people who think otherwise, but in my opinion they are living in a fantasy world! I Also tire easily from listening to people talk about history and religion, When in all actuality, They are talking about something they know nothing about!! (ie. Israel, Jews, Christians & On and on I could go)! What many Americans seem to have forgotten, Or don't know anything about to begin with, Is simple world history! It includes everything from religion to the Present day Fighting and quarreling over land and property and of course human rights which date back thousands of years! We certainly do not need a Totalitarian government here in America, Nor do we need anything like the German Holocaust and Inquisition! God forbid that Bachman actually gets elected!!
