In my opinion, He's the perfect example of an honest, determined, highly intelligent, Progressive Democratic Senator, "Truly for The People".....a Senator that ANY Liberal Democratic Citizen would absolutely love representing his or her local District! In the VERY 1st Senatorial Hearing fighting against DOMA, Sen. Franken makes a laughing stock out of a Top Executive from the Conservative, anti-gay & anti-gay marriage group, "Focus on the Family", as well as 3 other similar groups that all are spending Millions of Dollars, trying to STOP ANY elevation of the Repeal of DOMA! AWESOME VIDEO CLIP! Progressive Senator Al Franken, has a VERY LONG history of supporting the GLBT Community & being VERY instrumental in introducing & passing legislation in support of "our" causes, like DADT & so many others! He has been "our" voice in Congress & one of, if not THE strongest allies we as the GLBT Community have firmly at our side!! He is also a frequent guest writer in the popular "On Top Magazine", and has an Awesome website which is definitely a great avenue to keep up with GLBT political topics & legislation updates that he's directly involved in!
