Target of the 90's is not the Target of 2010's. Yes, it has great benefits, but, could be a lot better. They waste advertising revenue on Miss that was sold out in 10 minutes. While merchandise was avail in some rural stores, rather than pull that merchandise as long as with nation wide ads, they canceled peoples orders. That is mismanagement! We are speaking millions of dollars of ads, after they were sold out had continued, only to piss off customers who spent 3.00/gal on gas to go to the store to check out there Missoni merchandise. You see, that you should be complaining about as a investor.
The store has all Chinese product. They put American mfrs out of business by giving orders to china. In return, they load their shelves with cr-p.
Than they decide to give 150K to a man to win a political race. OK, But, he was the man that wanted Gays to be killed as Hitler killed Jews. This is not regular analogy, this was/is the truth. Target supported a politician who wanted all gays to be executed. The very same person that supported a bill in Uganda to kill all gays. Because of aggressive Political influence by the LGBT in the USA, around the world, The bill died.
Target, still will not apologize and it appears continue to give contributions to anti-gay groups that even helped to pass prop 8 that ended gay marriage in California. Thus, removing legal rights for gay couples that have a loved one in the hospital. I have seen it happen! Gay couples refused to make decisions and right of visitation in a hospital. I actually quit my job over such a issue. Though, am not allowed to discuss it.
I have actually called for Boycott of my own investments. You seriously have no idea that i have been unselfish in my decisions. And, I am not GOD. These boycotts were called for by various groups to include "all" of the LGBT community. Over time, as a company does "change" i either tone down the boycott, or call it off. Right now Target is suffering more from its mismanagement than from a Gay Boycott. What they did for you int he 90's is admirable. But, if you were in some hick rural store of theirs, you may not have been given same treatment. We do not have rights! That is the point. We can not spend our money at a place that openly gives the profits to candidates that want us dead, or vote against us. Period
The present Target has no loyalties to employees as they did in the 90's. Even home Deport lacks the same loyalty. Present employees do not get the bonus's and pension that former emplyees rec'd. The 90's is history. You can not compare present day affairs to the 90's. you are living in the past. That does not work anymore.
