i think it is very important that you notice that under-aged child did not want his name disclosed. This is a wild guest; but in some parts of TEXAS, parents are not to proud to have a gay son. Perhaps they student violated his parents wish by even reporting the case at all.
Perhaps the student does get bullied, harassed. I posted another article about a student in TN who wanted to start a gay alliance. He even wore a gay support t-shirt and got physically shoved by the principal and denied his club as well. I did not hear anything about the students coming out to support him.
But, in all cases it is important for gay/lesbian students to know that "it does get better." In fact, life shall become a lot of fun if he/she embraces what they are and comes out of the closet. And,ir moves out of the house when he/she is of legal age and move to a gay friendly town.
Read the info taken and see if the LGBT community would get involved. perhaps this student was told he could be expelled permanently if he makes trouble. Life is not easy when you are a lone, gay and under-aged.
