Crunch in Your Chair
 
Here's a workout that you can do in your cubicle or the comfort of your own home. This move will work your internal and external obliques. Let's give it a whirl!

Step 1: Sit on the edge of a sturdy chair or workout bench. Reach your hands behind you and grab the sides of the chair. Extend your legs out and allow your upper body to recline back slightly.

Step 2: Breathe slowly as you draw your knees in and up toward your chest through a count of 10 seconds.

Step 3: Hold and squeeze at the maximum tension point for 2 seconds.

Step 4: Return legs to the starting point through a count of 10 seconds.

Step 5: Repeat three times without resting.

National boycott of anti-gay Target and Best Buy planned this weekend

A grassroots campaign to thwart Minnesota Republican Gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer is in full swing, with corporate super stores Target and Best Buy being held to answer for funding the candidate.

Emmer, a member of of the Minnesota House of Representatives, has has received television support from a PAC made up of several businesses, including Target and Best Buy, called MN Forward.  The move itself is not unheard of nor controversial, it endorses the candidate for being pro-business and anti-tax.  What has caused an uproar is the stances that Emmer has taken in aligning himself with radical anti-gay groups.  Emmer's campaign committee donated $250 in 2008 to You Can Run But You Cannot Hide Intl, Inc., a Christian group whose head, Bradlee Dean, has said it is acceptable to execute homosexuals in a manner similar to that in Muslim nations.

Pressure has grown in recent weeks on Target, but to no avail.  A nationwide boycott of Best Buy, Target, and other members of the PAC has been called for this weekend.  Locally, there are Best Buy and Target stores located within a mile of each other on Bald Hill Road in Warwick.
