Re: [Peckers_Pics] Need some advice on diet for vegetarian

I can see someone by the name of nelsonmount needs a little history refresher
course (-:
My friend, when you say that being vegan is against nature, that's simply a
false statement.

We know that the caveman grazed all day.
They ate berries, leaves fruit, plants and RARELY DID THEY EAT MEAT!!!
BTW, I am not vegan. I just happen  to know this for a fact. I don't think
anyone is attempting to make anyone vegan on this forum. If you can remember the
first question, it was about how can someone who is vegan can get enough protein
in their diets.

moderator: jrish, i absolutely agree with you. in my opinion, the healthiest people i know are vagans. In fact, most of our global warming problems are the result of too many animals being raised for food (they give off methane). And, you are correct, that no member in this group has attempted to turn anyone into a vegan. Personally, I wish i would become a vegan as it would be better for me as well as the world. Also, you are correct, it is not against nature. We may derive plenty of protein from soy, almonds, and hundreds of other products. I am sure we have farmers in here who have a herd of cows and pigs and may be lobbying us not to mention the "V" word. lolololol ....jake

No one is telling you to be a vegetarian (or to be heterosexual, or a Christian,
or...).
Humans are omnivores, but there are many examples of other strong animals that
are vegetarian: elephants, hippos, horses, oxen, gorillas, cows

And there are vegan bodybuilders: http://www.veganbod ybuilding. com/

So, don't be threatened by vegetarians or defensive. It's just how we want to
live our lives.
We can all sit together at the table.
Peace.
