The WORST!!!
A Decade Down The Drain. That's how Wrestlecrap.com celebrated 10 years on the Net & it's no surprise the same is for its yearly award: The Gooker. The Gooker is awarded to the worst storyline/character/match for the year.
And the nominees are....
1. Abyss & the WWE Hall Of Fame Rings: So Abyss gets Hulk Hogan's WWE Hall Of Fame Ring & the next thing you know he's TNA's version of The Green Lantern while making Ric Flair the TNA version of Sinestro.
2. Edge Kidnaps Paul Bearer: Before Edge came from RAW to Smackdown he was supposed to destroy everything that was stupid. Now he's on Smackdown & he decides to kidnap Paul Bearer just for the hell of it. And to make it worse Edge decides to take him from arena to arena to show Kane "I got him & you don't so neener-neener-NEENER-NEENER!"
3. The Monday Night Wars II: Dixie Carter & Hulk Hogan announced via a huge press conference that they were moving Impact to Mondays to start a new version of "The Monday Night Wars". TNA brought some good names like RVD & Jeff Hardy. But TNA also brought in The Nasty Boyz & Bubba The Love Sponge. Combined that with some of the stupidest storylines & matches ever & in a couple of months WWE humbled TNA to move Impact right back to Thursdays.
4. Hornswoggle as D-Generation X's Mascot & The Little People's Court: Late entry for the year but Hornswoggle decided to become DX's midget mascot. Of course that led to the little guy pissing off DX which featured HBK & HHH crawling underneath the ring to experience being tried for their crimes by of all things...MIDGETS!
5. Bi-Sexual Orlando Jordan: Bi-Sexuality or Homosexuality is okay with Wrestlecrap.com & here at The Original WWF Fan Club, not if there's anything wrong with it. What's wrong with it though is how TNA made Orlando Jordan look with his bi-sexuality. Like say...covering yourself in a "white liquid" while hanging out with Eric Young; while thanks to a kick to the head he's Bi-Polar, definitely something wrong with that.
6. THEY/Immortal: So Abyss keeps hyping that "THEY Are Coming". Like some bad horror movie plot from the 1950's. And "THEY" turn out to be...The nWo version 3.0 made up of Hulk Hogan & Eric BITCH.........................Off. All of this also made Dixie Carter more hateable than Stephie Bear's time on TV.
7. The "Firing" Of John Cena: What started out okay was Cena being a part of the most popular stable of the year, Cena's a part of "The Nexus". Which leads to Cena being "fired" from WWE for not getting Wade Barrett the WWE Title. What happens though is Cena showing up week after week on RAW destroying Nexus while on House Shows he's dressed up as "his mexican cousin Juan Cena". Somehow Cena's able to show The Nexus, while he's "fired" mind you, their come-uppins!
8. "The Stand Up For WWE Campaign": So former WWE CEO Linda McMahon decided to run for the U.S. Senate. Fine. Okay. What was not okay however was Linda McMahon's opponents attacking her for being a part of WWE. Which leads to Vince McMahon to create a campaign to support WWE & apparently her for some odd reason EVEN THOUGH it's a State Political Campaign.
9. Season 3 of NXT: What started out okay was WWE's new program "WWE NXT". Season 1 was good with Daniel Bryan & The Miz & all of the remaining contestants becoming "The Nexus". Season 2...Meh. But it was Season 3 of this show that featured all Un-Divas that's possible for a Gooker! It was train wrecks galore matches wise & storyline wise. Pretty soon NXT was gone from TV & put on wwe.com while nobody gave a damn about it! By the way there was a 7 foot woman on the show that somehow disappeared. "I wonder how that happened?!?"
10. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart/Vinnie Mac Feud: How could someone screwed this up?!? Apparently WWE did. After 10 years for being royally pissed off over "The Montreal Screwjob". Bret Hart returns to WWE to help out The Hart Dynasty. What turned out was Bret Hart nearly getting hit by a limo, the same one that probably ended his career, while being part of the worst match of Wrestlemania while Vinnie Mac was trying to be the good guy out of all this! What a pal!
