Love the Exercise You Do

Why isn't your exercise program working for you? Probably because you never do it! Studies show that the #1 problem with losing weight is not the diet or fitness plan itself, but rather a lack of follow-through.

The real key is to find an exercise you enjoy. That way you'll look forward to your workouts rather than dreading them. More importantly, you'll be more likely to do them rather than finding inventive ways of avoiding them.

You don't have to get on a treadmill if you don't like it. Bike, swim, hike, walk, dance, climb, or do whatever you love to do – just make sure you move! You can even play tag if you want, as long as you keep moving and work up a sweat. The more you exercise, the more weight you'll lose, and the happier you'll be because you aren't torturing yourself with needless hours of exercises you hate to do.

Is McDonalds going to be Al-Qaida friendly as well?  Imagine - Bill O'Reilly compares Gays to Al-Qaida!  In conclusion, O'Reilly expressed out-right Hatrad of the LGBT Community. 
  • Boycott Arizona the home of  "hater" - U.S. Senator John McCain. Arizona's Hateful anti-Immigration Law - encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities.  A remedy: Demand Republicans to  support Immigration Reform (The Dream Act). Further, Senator McCain voted against ending DADT and Blocked Immigration reform! 
  • Boycott Target, Best Buy, Gold's Gym - for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations. Update: (12/26/2010): Target is continuing to donate to anti-gay groups/causes/politicians. Update 03/08/11 - Lady Gaga Ends Target Partnership, Reportedly Over Target's Poor LGBT Stance. Update 3/25/2010 - Target displays their hypocrisy and Sues California Gay Rights Group for Lobbying Outside Stores.  Target is attempting to block the LGBT right of free speech!  STOP SHOPPING AT TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update 4/8/2011: Target lost it's case to stop the LGBT from canvassing in front of their stores.  A huge PR Disaster for TARGET!  Perhaps Target should go out of business as they betrayed their investers and customers. Target contributed massive funds to a politician who would like to exterminate gays.  Now, Target can not stop us from Boycotting them, nor picketing, nor talking to customers near their stores; although, Target allows a anti-gay company such as the Salvation Army to stand outside their door and speak with customers and raise money. Isn't this a double standard? Perhaps TARGET would better understand the issue if they cared about David Kato - Uganda, who was slain because he is gay! That is because Uganda wants to kill gay people.  Again, TARGET invested in a political candidate that would Kill the Gays! 
  • End DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act).  Prevents Federal employees and Gays in the Military from gaining equal benefits. Prevents Gay Partners from gaining equal benefits.    
  • Pass ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act).  ENDA would prevent employment discrimination of  LGBT workforce.
  • Boycott Salvation Army as they will not hire Gays! "DO NOT DONATE TO THEM."
  • BOYCOTT "Chick-fil-a" for donating to anti-gay marriage groups.
  • BOYCOTT KOCH INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS- to include their products: Angel Soft toilet paper / Brawny paper towels / Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups / Mardi Gras napkins and towels / Quilted Northern toilet paper / Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper / Sparkle napkins / Vanity fair napkins / Zee napkins / Georgia-Pacific paper products & envelopes / All Georgia-Pacific lumber & building products (INVISTA Products) / Lycra / Stainmaster Carpet.   The billionaire - Koch brothers are ultra republican - tea bag founders/supporters that do not support causes of the LGBT community.
  • Boycott WALMART - The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, force criticized Wal-Mart for denying employee benefits to same-s-x partners and for failing to prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. By comparison, the group said two other chain stores with a strong presence in New York, Costco and Walgreens, did much better.
  • NEW: Boycott Donald Trump [Tune Out TRUMP], The Apprentice and NBC Network! At CPAC, Trump said he is considering a run for president as a Republican. In a interview with the Des Moines Register, Trump added that he opposes all forms of legal recognition for gay couples, not just marriage. "They should not be able to marry," he said. So why does NBC keep the Apprentice when Donald Trump has stated he may run for president? Boycott NBC, CNBC! Boycott advertisers of The Apprentice and his other business's. Don't shop at any bullding with Donald Trump's name to include Trump Hotels, Casinos, Condo's, Offices, Shops!  The Donald has expressed extreme Hatred. He is a birther as well and brings out all the Bigots!  Remember how poorly Trump treated Rosie O'Donnel?  Now we know why he did that!  It was hate against a lesbian as we now know he is bigot.  Unforgiveable!  Get Ready to dump NBC & NBC NEWS because they air Donald Trump's "The Apprentice"!  Start Watching CBS Evening News with Katie Couric (Too Bad, Katie is leaving).
  • NEW: Boycott "APPLE." For the current owners and the aspiring owners of the I-phone,  Apple allows an application, "The Gay App", which is supposed to help gay individuals turn straight.  This is a step in the wrong direction.  Apple needs to know that the decision to allow this App on their products is a fallacious idea! Update: March 23, 2011:  Apple removed this app from USA stores; but, rumored to have them remain in some foreign stores.  This is offensive not just towards the LGBT community in the USA; but, offensive to  the entire LGBT community around the world.  How does anyone approve such a hateful, despicable app towards the LGBT community? Especially when Gay Teens are killing themselves after being harrassed by their church, parents, as well as  by bully's and teachers at school. The idea that this app was used, solicited is disgusting.  Still "no comment" from APPLE!

Is this the end of Uganda's anti-gay law?

Not likely. New anti-homosexual legislation is already in the works.
 
KAMPALA, Uganda - Tired but elated, Kasha Jacqueline Nabagesera, a whip-thin 30-year old Ugandan with long braids and a man's shirt, smoked cigarettes and rested at her bar in a Kampala suburb. She had named the place Sappho, after the Greek poet and lesbian icon, and that night there would be a party.

More than 18-months of struggle, fear, threats, the murder of one of her closest friends, and the hatred of politicians and religious leaders, Nabagesera felt she could finally breath again.

"Today is a victory for gay people in Uganda and for the whole world. The bill is dead," she said.

Ugandan lawmakers on Friday failed to debate a new anti-gay law, proposed by an ambitious evangelical Member of Parliament, that calls for the death penalty for some homosexual acts.

Homosexual acts are already illegal in Uganda - and in many other African countries - but David Bahati's draft law would have meant the death sentence for teenagers who have gay sex, or people with HIV/AIDS, or with someone who is disabled, or for being what the bill termed "a serial offender."

Gay sex between consenting adults would earn a life sentence. The law also called for prison sentences for those promoting homosexuality - which could be interpreted to mean any human rights groups - and for anyone failing to report a homosexual act to the authorities.

The harsh proposals drew fire from human rights groups and foreign governments. But despite Friday's setback, the bill's chief proponent remained determined.

"When I moved this bill I had two objectives," said Bahati, standing outside the parliament building hours after his bill had been shelved.

"One, to make the issue of homosexuality and the dangers to our society part of the national debate, and second, to have the legal framework to protect our children from recruitment and promotion," he said, referring to the belief, widespread in Uganda, that homosexuals want to brainwash children into becoming like them.

Nabagesera, a gay rights activist whose work with "Freedom and Roam Uganda" earned her this year's international Martin Ennals prize for human rights defenders, is dismissive of Bahati's justifications.

"Why would homosexuals recruit children? Why would I recruit a child? No one recruited me into homosexuality," she said.

"I don't hate men," she said, "I don't hate heterosexuals, why do they hate me? Why do they say I should be hanged?"

That is exactly what a new Ugandan tabloid, called Rolling Stone, screamed on its front page earlier this year: "Hang them!" it read alongside personal details - and in some cases photographs - of allegedly gay Ugandans.

Among those identified was 40-year-old Peter (not his real name). "It was tough, there was a lot of fear then," he said.

That fear of exposure, or of attacks, became real in January when David Kato, one of the few gay Ugandans who, like Nabagasera, speak publicly about being gay, was beaten to death in his home.

The Ugandan government quickly announced that his killing was not a hate crime but a violent robbery. Too quickly, some say.

"David's murder scared people. I don't know what really happened," Peter said with a shake of his head. "All I know is David is dead."

Nabagesera was distraught.

"I lost not only a colleague but a dear, dear, close friend of mine. At the funeral sorrow turned into anger when the priest stood up and condemned David in his coffin. We stood up for David who had stood up for our community," she said.

Despite Kato's death and the daily threats, which included threats of "corrective rape" -- the idea that the rape of a lesbian by a man will "cure" her - Nabagesera has continued her struggle on behalf of Uganda's gay community.

"As a homosexual you can be expelled from school for writing a love letter - as I was - you can be sacked from your job, excommunicated from your church, you can be evicted from your house," she said.

"It's not easy. It's a big sacrifice to be on the frontline."

Friday's shelving of Bahati's anti-homosexuality bill is a victory for Uganda's hidden gay community, but it is not the end of the anti-gay legislation.

Speaking to GlobalPost, Bahati insisted he will propose similar legislation.

"In the next parliament I will be moving forward to ensure we have a law to stop recruitment and promotion [of homosexuality]," he said.

Bahati said that the death penalty would be removed from the new version of the bill but added, "This is not the end … we have just pressed a pause button but in a few days from now, when the next parliament starts, we will press the play button again."

Nabagesera, planning the evening's celebrations, refused to be dismayed by the news that Bahati would fight on.

"It is his right to reintroduce the bill but just as we have ensured the bill did not pass in this Parliament we will do the same in the next," she said. "The fight has just started."
