Toni Adams, the former wife of "Gentleman" Chris Adams, died on Thursday,
June 24. Adams was the second wife of Chris Adams and divorced him in the
early 1990s. After leaving wrestling, she married Leonard Donahoo and had
been living in Louisville.
Donahoo worked as a valet/manager for Chris Adams in the late 1980s and
early 1990s in Texas and Tennessee for the USWA promotion.
A big feud at the time was Steve Austin, a protégé in real life and in
storyline of Adams, turned heel on Adams and teamed with Adams first wife,
Jeannie Clark, against Adams and his wife, Toni. Clarke went with Austin to
WCW in 1991 and became Lady Blossom and later married Austin. Austin would
later credit Clarke with coming up with the "Stone Cold" moniker.
Donahoo was 45 years old.
