Take Action:
- Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS! Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
- We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
- Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commerical by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to get be Al-Qaida friendly as well? Further, Bill said that McDonalds would never show a gay friendly commercial in the USA. Imagine, Bill is comparing Gays to Al-Qaida.
- Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities. A remedy: Demand Republicans to support Immigration Reform.
- Did you complete your Diet Journal today? Get it done!
- Did you do any physical activity? If not, make a point of it by tomorrow!
- It is our hope that these photos shall inspire you!
And Now, Hair Wars!Today's Health/Excercise Tip:AIDS drug safe for HIV prevention in studyPublished July 23, 2010VIENNA (Reuters) - The HIV drug tenofovir is safe to be given to men at high risk of contracting the virus as a preventative measure, scientists said on Friday, but further trials are needed to test its efficacy.
Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States studied the safety of the Gilead drug in gay and bisexual men who did not have the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that causes AIDS and said their results showed there were no concerns.
"We didn't find any increased risk of harm in medical terms, and on the behavioral side the preliminary work we've done also suggests there is no increased risk," said Lisa Grohskopf, who led the study and presented the findings at the International AIDS Conference in Vienna.
The approach of taking a daily antiretroviral drug to try to prevent HIV infection is known as pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP. Scientists around the world are currently conducting studies to see if it may be an effective way to reduce HIV infection in high-risk groups, including gay men.
A previous study in Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon found that the drug was also safe when given to heterosexual women at high risk of contracting HIV.
South African researchers presented research at the Vienna conference on Monday which showed that a microbicide gel also containing Gilead's tenofovir can sharply reduce HIV infections in women.
More than 2.7 million people around the world become newly infected with HIV each year and 33.4 million people are currently living with the virus.
Although prevention methods such as using male or female condoms can be very effective, many people don't use them and scientists are constantly searching for other ways of trying the prevent the incurable virus from spreading.
This trial looked at whether a 300 milligram tablet of tenofovir taken daily was safe among 400 HIV-negative gay men in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Boston.
The men were divided into four groups. Two groups were started immediately on either tenofovir or a placebo, or dummy pill, while the other two received either tenofovir or a placebo nine months after the start of the study. This design allowed researchers to compare risk behaviors among those taking a daily pill and those not taking pills.
"It is conceivable that if someone was taking a pill and thought that it was effective (in preventing HIV infection) that it might lead to a greater likelihood of risky behavior," Grohskopf explained.
The researchers said they were "encouraged" that no serious safety concerns emerged in the trial. There were also no serious side effects and no significant differences in effect on kidney function between those taking tenofovir and those on a placebo.
"If PrEP proves effective it could provide an additional safety net for men who have sex with men and other individuals at high risk, when used in combination with other proven prevention strategies," they said.
This group is called "Peckers PICS." The English - slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues. In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!" Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!" Warning: This may stoke you!

Also: Best Buy, another Minnesota-based retailer, contributed $100,000 to the conservative PAC.Chicago Pride / July 27, 2010 / By Go Pride News staffMinneapolis, MN --- Target's CEO is today defended the company's $150,000 political donation to fund anti-gay politics. Chief Executive Gregg Steinhafel is telling employees of the Minnesota-based retailer that the company's support of the gay community remains "unwavering. "
Target has come under fire from LGBT groups, including the Human Rights Campaign, for giving $150,000 to a right-wing political action committee (PAC) known as Minnesota Forward, which in turn bought television ads for Minnesota Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer.
"I believe marriage is the union between one man and one woman," Emmer says on his website. "As a legislator, I have consistently supported the constitutional marriage amendment that protects traditional marriage."
Gay rights groups say it's unwise for Target to back the anti-gay Emmer, because his conservative views on abortion, gay marriage, immigration and the minimum wage could upset some Target shoppers.
Emmer has also been criticized for his association with a Christian rock band, which according to the Minnesota Independent has made statements concerning the morality of killing gays and lesbians.
"We rarely endorse all advocated positions of the organizations or candidates we support, and we do not have a political or social agenda," Steinhafel said in an e-mail published by the Associated Press. "Let me be very clear, Target's support of the GLBT community is unwavering, and inclusiveness remains a core value of our company."
The AP also reports that Best Buy, another Minnesota-based retailer, contributed $100,000 to the conservative PAC.
Target opened its new Chicago location in the Uptown neighborhood on July 20. Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, Ald. Helen Shiller (46th) and openly-gay state Rep. Greg Harris (D-Chicago) were at the opening.
Rep. Harris told ChicagoPride on Monday that he was surprised by the news.
"This shows how important effective campaign disclosure laws are, so that we can follow the money that supports candidates who actively work against our community or who fund anti-gay ballot initiatives, " said Harris. "Companies like Target need to understand that they can't have it both ways when it comes to issues of our basic rights, and that the facts will eventually come out. I hope that they will rethink this contribution and find a way to make it right."
A FaceBook dedicated to boycotting Target continues to gain momentum.
"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
