Boycott TARGET-Trump-NBC/Safe PICS For All Ages/We Support Keith Olbermann

Updates on Keith Olberman @ ObamaBiden2008  (Update: Keith began his FOK NEWS blog.)

Alert: Target + Minnesota Forward + Tom Emmer = Support for a rather dangerous and radical political philosophy that diminishes LGBT people to pests that should be murdered. And "Target" is cool with this?   in San Diego we peacefully canvassed customers near their stores.  In return, TARGET is suing the LGBT community for voicing our right of FREE SPEECH! Now, Target lost in court! David beat Goliath!    AWWW!   Return everything you bought to TARGET and tell them why!  ....Boycott TARGET!!!!!

Health - Wellness - Exercise - Reflections:
Are Personal Trainers Worth the Cost?

By Jennifer Gruenemay, ACE-Certified, April 14, 2011

Not sure if hiring a personal trainer will you give the most bang for your buck? With higher-end personal trainers running up costs of more than $100 an hour, it's no wonder you assume they can't fit into your budget.

But before you set out alone, consider this: Many personal trainers offer reduced rates for couples or group training. They may offer these sessions for as little as $15 an hour per person, making this an affordable way to receive quality exercise instruction while meeting people who are working toward the same goals as you.

If you're still not sure if personal training is right for you, think about this: Studies show that people work much harder with a personal trainer, putting them on a faster track to weight loss. In a nutshell, with a personal trainer you'll get where you want to go faster than you would if you struggled through your journey alone. And that means you could be saving money in the long-run by not running up unused gym fees.
Take Action:
  • Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck - Fox News.  Glenn Beck is anti-gay rights. Update: Boycott Successful: Update 4/7/2011: Beck has been fired by FOX NEWS!  Radio stations dropping Beck as well in several locations
  • Update: DADT has been repealed. President Obama has kept his promise!
  • Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers.  Bill discussed a French commercial by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to be Al-Qaida friendly as well?  Imagine - Bill O'Reilly compares Gays to Al-Qaida!
  • Boycott Arizona the home of  "hater" - U.S. Senator John McCain. Arizona's Hateful anti-Immigration Law - encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities.  A remedy: Demand Republicans to  support Immigration Reform (The Dream Act). Further, Senator McCain voted against ending DADT and Blocked Immigration reform!
  • Boycott Target, Best Buy, Gold's Gym - for donating money towards anti-gay political candidates/organizations. Update: (12/26/2010): Target is continuing to donate to anti-gay groups/causes/politicians.  Update 03/08/11 - Lady Gaga Ends Target Partnership, Reportedly Over Target's Poor LGBT Stance. Update 3/25/2010 - Target displays their hypocrisy and Sues California Gay Rights Group for Lobbying Outside Stores.  Target is attempting to block the LGBT right of free speech!  STOP SHOPPING AT TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Update 4/8/2011: Target lost it's case to stop the LGBT from canvassing in front of their stores.  A huge PR Disaster for TARGET!  Perhaps Target should go out of business as they betrayed their investers and customer base. Target contributed massive funds to a politician who would like to exterminate gays.  Now, Target can not stop us from Boycotting them, nor picketing, nor talking to customers near their stores; although,  Target allows a anti-gay company such as the Salvation Army to stand outside their door and speak with customers and raise money. Isn't this a double standard?
  • End DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act).  Prevents Federal employees and Gays in the Military from gaining equal benefits. Prevents Gay Partners from gaining equal benefits.
  • Pass ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act).  ENDA would prevent employment discrimination of  LGBT workforce.
  • Boycott Salvation Army as they will not hire Gays! "DO NOT DONATE TO THEM."
  • BOYCOTT "Chick-fil-a" for donating to anti-gay marriage groups.
  • BOYCOTT KOCH INDUSTRIES PRODUCTS- to include their products: Angel Soft toilet paper / Brawny paper towels / Dixie plates, bowls, napkins & cups / Mardi Gras napkins and towels / Quilted Northern toilet paper / Soft 'n Gentle toilet paper / Sparkle napkins / Vanity fair napkins / Zee napkins / Georgia-Pacific paper products & envelopes / All Georgia-Pacific lumber & building products (INVISTA Products) / Lycra / Stainmaster Carpet.   The billionaire - Koch brothers are ultra republican - tea bag founders/supporters that do not support causes of the LGBT community.
  • Boycott WALMART - The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, force criticized Wal-Mart for denying employee benefits to same-s-x partners and for failing to prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. By comparison, the group said two other chain stores with a strong presence in New York, Costco and Walgreens, did much better.
  • Remember David Kato, Gay activist - Uganda, who was slain because he is gay!
  • NEW: Boycott Donald Trump, The Apprentice and NBC Network! At CPAC, Trump said he is considering a run for president as a Republican. In a interview with the Des Moines Register, Trump added that he opposes all forms of legal recognition for gay couples, not just marriage. "They should not be able to marry," he said. So why does NBC keep the Apprentice when Donald Trump has stated he may run for president? Boycott NBC, CNBC! Boycott advertisers of The Apprentice and his other business's. Don't shop at any bullding with Donald Trump's name to include Trump Hotels, Casinos, Condo's, Offices, Shops!  The Donald has expressed extreme Hatred towards gays and now blacks with his birther remarks and anti-fay rhetoric.  Remember how poorly Trump  treated Rosie O'Donnel?  Now we know why he did that!  It was hate against a lesbian as we now know he is hater.  Unforgiveable!  Dump NBC because they air Donald Trump's "The Apprentice"?  Start Watching CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
  • NEW: Boycott "APPLE." For the current owners and the aspiring owners of the I-phone,  Apple allows an application, "The Gay App", which is supposed to help gay individuals turn straight.  This is a step in the wrong direction.
  • Apple needs to know that the decision to allow this App on their products is a fallacious idea! Update: March 23, 2011:  Apple removed this app from USA stores; but, rumored to have them remain in some foreign stores.  This is offensive not just towards the LGBT community in the USA; but, offensive to  the entire LGBT community around the world.  How does anyone approve such a hateful, despicable app towards the LGBT community? Especially when Gay Teens are killing themselves after being harrassed by their church, parents, as well as  by bully's and teachers at school. The idea that this app was used, solicited is disgusting.

And Now, Our War of the Fittest!

This group is called "Peckers Pics."  The English -  slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health, Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues.  In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!"  Whereas, you should select the guy that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit!"   Warning: This may stoke you!

Gay ex-NBA player Amaechi weighs in Bryant, 'apology' for slur
By J. Michael Falgoust, USA TODAY; April 14, 2011

John Amaechi, who played professional basketball from 1995 to 2003, including five seasons with three NBA teams, came out as gay to the mainstream after his playing career ended. The 6-10 center-forward wrote a book, Man in the Middle, about being a gay professional athlete. Close friends and some teammates knew of Amaechi's sexuality during his basketball career. He is now a psychologist working in the USA and Britain.

Amaechi spoke to USA TODAY NBA reporter J. Michael Falgoust about Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant using an expletive-filled homophobic slur directed at NBA referee Bennie Adams during Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. The NBA fined Bryant $100,000, and he explained his choice of words as "frustration during the heat of the" nationally televised game.

SLUR: Bryant fined $100K for sideline remark!

Amaechi also reacted to the incident earlier this season when two Toronto Raptors teammates were vilified for holding hands as they walked off the court.

Q: What was your first impression when you heard Bryant's remark?

A: I'm surprised that people are surprised. This is common language when I played. It was an everyday word that I heard. I haven't seen anything new put in place (by the NBA) to tackle homophobia. There's no reason for it to somehow get better.

Q: And what do you think of Bryant's statement of "apology"?

A: I suppose that's the typical, "I apologize if you're offende"' type of comment. I doubt very much when he said that that he thought Bennie was a pile of sticks. There's only one contemporary meaning for that.

The problem we have now is because of the way we don't address homophobia, the ultimate insult to a man is to tell them either they're like a woman or worse, that they're gay.

We have to take it as unacceptable as a white person screaming the N-word at a black person. … I can tell you that I've been called a f--g fairly routinely, and yet people seem to hold off on calling me the N-word. We've got to mirror that progress.

Q: Then you're on board with organizations such as GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign, which didn't think the penalty was sufficient?

A: I'm not interested in seeing Kobe punished. What I'm interested in is if you're really sorry, that this is a one-off mistake for you, use the power you have to make a difference. That means a proper apology and doing something with his brand. Good Lord, he's got the power with one executive decision to get people moving and do something good here. Do something good.

I've said this before and I know people think it's hyperbole, but especially in America, people look at sports stars like their gods. I keep saying every time, "If sports stars are gods it's time we see a miracle every once in a while." This is an opportunity for that.

Q: If you were the NBA commissioner, how would you have punished Bryant?

A: There would certainly be a fine. I'd like to know what the response would be if a white and gay player had called Kobe a nigger. My concern is that the penalty axed on that player would be greater than this penalty.

But at the same time, what I would want is to encourage Kobe to use the power he has to really make an apology that means something. Tell black men, men in general in America, that resorting to that sort of language is the lowest of the low and is unacceptable. And it doesn't make you any more of a man. That's really the answer. Saying you didn't mean it is not the answer.

Q: Do you think the remark makes Bryant homophobic?

A: The reason it's difficult is because of how influential he is. When he talks, not just young people but sports fans in general listen. They mimic. He sets a tone that says, "This is acceptable language when you are frustrated." It isn't acceptable language. That's the larger extent of the damage. That's like a Glenn Beck non-apology. With a few more words well-chosen he could do some good.

I don't think he is any more homophobic than the average person, or most certainly your average person in sports. When you're in the spotlight, when a camera is trained on your face on a daily basis, you don't have the luxury of losing control. When you do, I like to see people be a little more contrite than that.

Q: Does this discourage an NBA player who might ponder coming out to his team from doing so?

A: Let's face it, any gay teammate he has, any gay player playing on a team that he plays against is now, as they were before probably, critically aware that the ultimate insult that someone uses to put someone down is talking about you. That does want to make you take a step back and think again about whether you want to really open yourself up to that extra animosity.

I'm not interested in equality for any kind of warm and fuzzy reason. I'm in psychology now. I'm interested in performance. The fact is, if you've got teams of these numbers, it is unlikely that there is not someone around him - whether it be coaching staff, auxiliary staff, support staff, medical staff or a teammate - who is lesbian, gay or bi. When you use language like that you're pulling your team apart even if it's just your support staff.

Q: Given so much news media attention being paid to this, is that a sign the climate is changing?

A: There's certainly more attention on the fact that it shouldn't be used but is too frequently. But I was watching the video clip of it, and there was no particular outrage from the announcers (Steve Kerr, Reggie Miller, Kevin Harlan of TNT). They were simply saying, "The cameras should come off his face now." When somebody says the N-word it's like the air is sucked out of a room, or an arena.

Q: Did the NBA address gay issues during seminars to help players cope when you played?

A: My whole time in the league, there was never a mention of anything remotely to do with gay people. About the closest it got was my final year in the league (2003). There had been an issue about players and their wives having physical altercations. They wanted to discuss this and how you handle the stress.

It was groundbreaking for me because I sat in this meeting, and for the first time the woman who was giving the seminar talked about partners instead of wives and girlfriends. It suddenly felt like they're including, through their use of language, people who might not have wives or girlfriends. People who might have male partners.

Q: There was an outrage when Reggie Evans and Leandro Barbosa of the Raptors walked off the court holding hands.

A: There was just a slew of homophobic language about these guys, on the Internet, all over the place. Sports is still a place where there's a home for homophobes. The reaction, some of the comments (online) were so awful, and talking about killing them.

Q: You're a psychologist now?

A: I work in the U.K. and in the U.S. My clients are mostly Fortune 250 companies. I'm what they call an occupational psychologist. I work with improving organizational performance, improve individuals, as opposed to laying people on couches to chat to them.

I have clients on the East Coast mostly. One or two on the West Coast. I spend about a third of the year in New York and Connecticut and the rest of the time I'm around Europe.

Q: Is the NBA any better or worse than other sports leagues?

A: They're considerably better. I know for a fact because I've got a couple of friends in the NFL still, and one of them has dealt with death threats from teammates. It's a whole different world.
