[Peckers_Pics] Drug Assistance & HIV/AIDS Free Assistance!

Good evening everybody :-) I wanted to add to jakes Email regarding prescription Assistance. RxAssist.org that jake mentioned in his email, is actually a legitament and well funded website. As an anesthesiologist myself, I frequently give that web address to patients that need assistance with their prescriptions. obviously being in surgery 99 percent of my time, I do not come across the occasion to give that out very often. However I do pro bono work at a free clinic in dallas texas. A colleague of mine told me about the site and I have given it to quite a few patients in need. I do know that patients have followed up with me and told me the site is a good source. Personally I have not had any complaints. Of course that does not mean it works for everyone. Thank you jake for reminding me and everyone of that assistance site for prescription assistance etc... Also for anyone living in dallas texas area struggling with HIV or AIDS And is not insured or can
not find a proper specialist to treat their condition, I strongly suggest and recommend a Dr. Adams in fort worth texas. He is a well renowned HIV/AIDS physician Who operates a clinic in fort worth Along with his daughter who is also a specialist. His clinic is free and funded through a grant. If you have medicare or are disabled he also will treat you at that clinic. The benefit of his clinic is not only his knowledge of the disease but patients are able to receive the drugs that they could normally not afford or insurance refuses to cover! If a patient has no insurance the clinic will treat them and provide medications for free through the grant. If a patient is disabled and receives disability and medicare but their medicare insurance coverage does not cover a specific prescription, his clinic is able to offer those drugs at no cost to the patient due to his grant he was awarded over 10 years ago. I have seen many of his patients dying and wasting
away with AIDS And within 3 to 6 months Have a viral load that is undetectable Along with a highly raised T cell count. There are some geographical Guidelines to go to his clinic. However if you live in the dallas fort worth metroplex You more than likely will qualify. I urge anyone with the disease that is not getting treatment Or is getting treatment but not getting better, To contact his clinic immediately! I hope this information will help at least 1 person in this group if not more! Good luck, Mark :-)

Moderator: absolutely agree. Mark, I checked the site before i posted the article and was astounded. It is fantastic. I am a surgeon, so this is not my area. Further, most of you may not know, that your physician receives regular visits by pharmaceutical reps. Your DR, should be handing you actual plastic discount discount cars good for a year of medicine. One person I know changed Dr's and recd the discount cars. His monthly out of pocket after insurance went from 800.00 to 250.00. It is immediate. If your Dr is not helpful, than find a new Dr who cares. Further, for all companies that do not offer discount cars, call the mfr. Most shall issue you coupons/cards on each and every prescription (even if you have insurance). Also, for those of you on HIV prescriptions Truvada and Systeva, there is new prescription to combine those in to 1 prescription called Atripla. There is major discount card available at office of physicians (for up to 12 or more refills) and discounts your monthly supply for that one prescription by up to 250.00 (out of pocket/after insurance). Things are beginning to change as President Obama has forced pharmaceutical companies to address this issue. .....Jake
