  • Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS!  Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
  • We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
  • Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers.  Bill discussed a French commerical by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to get be Al-Qaida friendly as well?  Further, Bill said that McDonalds would never show a gay friendly commercial in the USA.   Imagine,  Bill is comparing Gays to Al-Qaida.
  • Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities.  A remedy: Demand Republicans to  support Immigration Reform.

High Stress Heightens Insulin Resistance
 
Experiencing high levels of hostility and stress can raise a person's risk of becoming insulin resistant, a key predictor of type 2 diabetes. That finding came courtesy of a study published in the journal Psychosomatic Medicine.

Conducted by researchers at Ohio's Cleveland Clinic, the study was based on data from more than 600 male patients. Researchers tested the men's blood levels of glucose and norepinephrine, a hormone which acts as an indicator of stress level. Based on their findings, researchers concluded that men who were under higher amounts of stress were significantly more likely to suffer from insulin resistance. The study's authors recommended therapeutic counseling and other behavioral interventions to reduce chronic hostility.

8 arrested in Las Vegas Strip gay rights protest

Police say eight people were arrested on misdemeanor charges in a Las Vegas Strip demonstration by advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights.

Officer Bill Cassell said Wednesday the eight men and women were taken into custody on obstructing a police officer and jaywalking charges.

Each was booked at the Clark County jail and released pending court appearances.

The protesters were from Washington, D.C.-based GetEQUAL, a group advocating for civil rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

They had banners calling for Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, the Democratic senate majority leader, to do more to pass the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

Reid spokesman Tom Brede says Reid supports the act. It would prohibit workplace discrimination due to sexual orientation or gender identity.

"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
