I totally agree! At the federal level we hear the most strident, unbelievable comments with candidates and seated members of the Republican party. I've long wondered why the Democratic elements are not more forceful in refuting the stuff that they produce to condemn and bad mouth the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. I've watched carefully as our President, Barrack Obama, has been "nice" to the opposing forces in our government. It's time to take off those frigging gloves and demand a few things. We are a secular government. If you wish to rule people, become a minister but stay out of politics. Those who are using their religious pulpits to push so-called christian candidates should be much more concerned about their religious exemption from taxes. The entire Republican party should be willing to solve our financial problems by getting rid of the Bush tax cuts. Even Grover Norquist doesn't consider that a tax increase. Grow a pair and start FIGHTING!

I can't agree with this article at all. The anti-gay groups (Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, etc.,) don't just have a different "opinion" or "belief". They go out of their way to suppress OUR rights, calling us sinners, equating our relationships with child molesters or those who practice bestiality, and promote violence against us. There is no need to be politically correct about it. That's HATE, plain and simple, and the dictionary defines it as it is. Yes, HATE is a hurtful word, but HURT is what they do to us, so why should be be timid about it?
It's so one-sided... We're not in their face to turn straight people gay, all we want is equal rights.
Fighting back with strong language is an effective weapon, and the article says so -- kudos to those companies who dissociate themselves with the hate groups. As such, we should embrace and amplify the message that the word says.
