Take Action:
- Boycott advertisers of Glenn Beck on Fox News as well as all of FOX NEWS! Glenn has lied about Health-care, called our President a racist, and is anti-gay rights.
- We demand immediate end of DADT. It is out-right discrimination.
- Boycott Bill O'Reilly and FOX News and their advertisers. Bill discussed a French commerical by McDonalds that was meant to show that McDonalds is Gay Friendly. Bill said what is next? Is McDonalds going to get be Al-Qaida friendly as well? Further, Bill said that McDonalds would never show a gay friendly commercial in the USA. Imagine, Bill is comparing Gays to Al-Qaida.
- Boycott Arizona because of their uncivilized anti-Immigration Law that encourages racial profiling and increases hatred towards minorities. A remedy: Demand Republicans to support Immigration Reform.
Diet & Fitness:
- Did you complete your Diet Journal today? Get it done!
- Did you do any physical activity? If not, make a point of it by tomorrow!
- It is our hope that these photos shall inspire you!
Today's Health/Excercise Tip:Too Much Fast Food Can Make You DiabeticThe difference in body mass index (BMI) between fast-food lovers and those who eat more fresh or home-cooked meals is enough to give fast foodies type 2 diabetes, according to one study.
Published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the study was based on data from 3,400 adults monitored over a decade. Researchers concluded that, on average, each fast-food meal eaten per week over the study period raises BMI by nearly a quarter of a point. Over the course of 10 years, the study's authors note that the difference is enough to give drive-thru divas a diabetes diagnosis, independent of other factors. Eating sit-down restaurant meals, on the other hand, was not tied to either higher BMI or heightened diabetes risk.
And Now, Model Wars!
This group is called "Peckers PICS." The English - slang definition of "pecker" is to pluck at the truth. Therefore, we peck at items such as Gay Men's Health and Male Fitness, Gay (LGBT) Politics & Issues. In this section you may peck at each photo in order to decide the winner of the "war of the fittest!" Whereas, who is the model that may inspire you to exercise and "get fit?" Warning: This may stoke you!

Kagen on Gay Marriage -- A New Roe V. Wade?
QS / July 1, 2010 / by Brent SullivanSupreme Court nominee Elena Kagan brilliantly avoided the question about her views on gay marriage at her confirmation hearing. Her answer was clearly crafted to avoid giving her true opinions on marriage equality. Although, admittedly, I don't have much doubt that, when a gay marriage case comes before Kagan, she will vote with us.However, although there's nothing I look forward to more than having full marriage equality in this country, there is nothing more scary than a supreme court case sanctioning gay marriage. Here's why.
Gay marriage is clearly an contemptuous issue for many people. Although our Supreme Court is as conservative as it's been in decades, if they were to side with the LGBT community, there would be an equal and opposite uproar from conservatives unlike we've ever seen before. In fact, we would see a tidal wave of conservative backlash that could last at least a decade.
Let me give you an example of what I mean: Roe v. Wade was settled in 1973, and there have never been more people involved with overturning that decision than today, almost forty years later. An entire political party has established their foundation on overturning the ruling. Even liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has always lamented the decision for speeding up what should've been a legislative process. When a legislature writes law supporting abortion, it generally creates a more sustainable consensus.
Many of you might disagree, but if gay marriage comes before the Supreme Court, I believe it is in our best interest that the court restrain itself. Otherwise, we will bypass an arduous yet necessary legislative dialogue, one which will take longer than a court's decision, but will create a secure solution grounded in equal rights that won't still remain in question forty years later.
"Every gay and lesbian person who has been lucky enough to survive the turmoil of growing up is a survivor. Survivors always have an obligation to those who will face the same challenges."
