Hey there Jake and everyone else! WOW! The past 2 nights (and days for that matter) Have been absolutely awesome! :-) Of course I'm speaking in relation to Current TV and FINALLY having Keith Olbermann back on the air!! So far, in watching just the first and second airing of his nightly show, I felt that he totally out did himself, from what I was initially expecting!

Actually, My partner and I have been watching Current TV for a couple of years now. Before the news about Keith Olbermann starting his show on Current TV was announced, we had been watching various shows on Current TV when something on the "Guide" looked interesting! Last year this month, Gay Pride month (June), Current TV ran gay programming all month, of all kinds of various sorts. That's what initially got us more interested in the channel! Before last year's gay pride month in june, when we searched for gay oriented programming, Current TV Kept popping up as having various gay oriented film and tv shows that sounded interesting. We have Verizon's FIOS Digital tv and internet system with their HD DVR's to digitally record programming. (Now don't take any princess points away from me, because we have Verizon at home)??!! LOL! We've had verizon long before I knew about the "boycott"! :( Anyway, 1 complaint I have about Current TV, is that the TV Guide
on the screen, has usually been "off" from what's actually playing (airing). I have searched for certain Current TV shows, set the DVR to record the show or "series", and I have sat down to watch what I thought I recorded, only to be surprised with a different show recorded! Ugh! But Current TV has made quite a few advancements over the past year!! Obviously having Keith Olbermann as the Cheif News Correspondent now, I think has really boosted the channel's popularity and has helped it rise to a higher level of "seriousness"....for the lack of a better word.

Jake, you mentioned the show Vanguard in your message... It was funny because, both Vanguard episodes aired after Keith last night, and have been repeated and aired as reruns, all last night & all through today, along with repeats of Keith's Premier show last night! LOL! TM and I both really like Vanguard! I was wondering if anyone else besides me, had noticed the awesome content following his show last night??!! I'm glad you mentioned the show Vanguard, Jake! You are absolutely right..... it appears that Current TV is really making an effort to step up it's programming overall?! I had actually already recorded and watched 2 of the episodes you mentioned! The Vanguard episode about "Oxycontin" being a gateway drug to the Heroin Epidemic, as well as the Vanguard episode exposing the problems for GLBT Individuals living within Uganda's "Death penalty for homosexuals", I thought really did a great job exposing and laying out the problem in layman's terms! I
recorded the other episode of "Doctors without Borders", but haven't had a chance to watch it yet! :( The previews I caught a glimpse of yesterday, looked really good, thus making a decision to record the episode!

I have a friend that has worked with "Doctors without Borders", for the past 5 years, but on their ship that travels and docks at various ports around the world! He specializes in reconstructive, maxillafacial plastic surgery and Orthopedics. During the 5 years he has been sailing around the world on their totally amazing ship, I think he mentioned he had helped correct over 300 cleft pallets and even more cleft upper lip disorders through plastic surgery techniques, that these children and adults have had to live with their entire lives! He has also seen and helped give children and adults a new lease on life, that were inflicted with very common "club foot" disorders! It was amazing to hear that so many adults had lived their entire lives with the club foot, walking on the side of their foot/ankle since birth??!! Unfortunately, in adult cases, there's less complete success! However, about 94% of children with this disorder that he treats, end up a
complete success story! I'm excited to watch the Doctors without Borders episode that I taped last night!

I haven't been able to find the show on Current TV that aired all last June, Celebrating and supporting a "Gay" Diverse Community! It had 2 very hot guys that hosted each episode. 1 of the guys was gay and the other was str8! It was a very cool and enlightening series, celebrating gay pride throughout the month of june! I'm still hoping to run across the episodes this year, but we are nearing the end of june already?! I'm really excited for Current TV and of course for Keith Olbermann! After the huge mess with MSNBC, not to mention losing his father somewhat recently, I'm so glad to see him smile again, and also be able to "stick it to" MSNBC's Brass, Through undertones And skillfully Let his guests say what they want, without worrying about any reprisals from Current TV's Owners, Executives, or Producers! Keith, of all people and journalist's in the industry, truly deserves this awesome opportunity and great support from so many contributors lining up
to support him! Thanks again Jake, for getting so much news and information out so quickly! Great job dude! Marki

Yes, the Vanguard with "killing gays in Uganda" was exceptional. I turned quickly to Rachel Maddow and it was rehashing of more political rubbish that covered by olbermann. I turned back to VanguaRD. eXCELLENT. i TAPED dOCTORS WITHOUT BOARDS. The preview looked good. But, was too late for me. Current TV will be going to a fulltime news network within a year. Olbermann is head of the news division and has a stake in the company with his contraCT. lOOKS LIKE mICROSOFT IS INTERESTED AS WELL. That was a real screw in the back to nbc and msnbc with those "long and informing Bing commericals by microsoft). MY only problem is that Curreent TV is not aired in HB with my service, so i sent a request to U-Verse. ...jake
