I wholeheartedly agree that when it comes to HIV/AIDS we must see it as the HUMAN Immunodeficiency Virus that it is. HIV is a threat to all human beings.
I live in Washington, DC where the HIV rate is equivalent to that of a Third World nation. A major reason that HIV has spread so devastatingly is that for far too long it was seen as a threat to only gay men and drug addicts. Lulled into complacency and carelessness, the rest of the population allowed itself to be infected and spread infection.
Remember, not all Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) identify as gay or even bi. Many MSM also have sex with women. Homophobia is a major cause of HIV stigma. So, many people avoid practicing or demanding safe sex practices for fear of being seen as gay or implying that they think their partner is gay. So, the sooner we erase the automatic connection between HIV and gay, the better off we will be ... and the sooner we can make real progress on ending the spread of the virus and getting care to all who need it.
Appropriate HIV/AIDS services and care must be culturally competent by recognizing and addressing the specific characteristics and needs of the various sub-populations at risk, infected and affected. However, the overall strategy must seek to serve all people because the lines between any artificially extracted groups are of necessity very blurred and totally unrealistic.

But I think of all of them, gay or not, who I have seen in my medical experience... I'm trained in India where there are more straight people affected by HIV than gays.... But that is another medical statistic, as for "socio-political" purposes, gays don't exist in India, so there is no reliable estimate of infection.
What I know is that ther are men and women and children I have seen who could have benefited from these advances and there are many others who will benefit in the future.

I dated a LDS person who was gay. they are so retarded i cant stand talking
to a LDS people. They live by rules. no drinking caffine, alochol, no
