I agree that peole should be kind but that is NOT a relgion:
MANY MORE people in the world today have become fiklled with greed due to Western World Materialism which is a very selfish thing to be fillled with: so many more people ARE NOT kind!
I think that the thing is: please if we cannot discuss religious things here for no matter what reason, especially how they affect voting etc. (there are mant Born-Again Democrats tooand not everyone is anti-Gay for instanc ethe split in the Episcopal Church in the United States and Anglican Church in Canada as some congregagtion shave openly gay ministers etc.) then we should try to make Kindness a religion because very few people world -wide are TRULY KIND and GENEROUS: There are many that donate money to get tax credits or make a BIG name for themselves and many of them are racist etc.
Many people are kind only to their own ethnic group etc. and they are prejudiced against others. They do NOT practise arelgion of KINDNESS and LOVE.
However, there ARE MANY peopel who have come to the realization that their efforts as be kind, generous and helping others helps the world be a better place and these people are the best people: such as those who risked their lives in the underground in Germant against the Nazis and people like Jane Fonda who spoke out against the Viet Nam War, and Mia Farrow who went to The Sudan when it was spo dangerous to bring the world's attention to a near genocide1
These are examples of people whose hearts are in the right places.
Thery are few and far between.
As I stated before, however, the materialism in the world (now and thousands of years ago) makes people more selfish and unkind and therefore most people need a guiding light from out of this world to wake them up.
I shall not pick any faith to suggest but I believe that most poeple and the world can and will benefit from this.
Margaret Meade (Mead?) believed that following a faith that promises an after life dependant on what we believe
and do postively in this world was the best. Ypou all can look up which ones she believed did the trick and why.)
You all can decide for yourselves.
Shalom and Peace and Love to all,
Butch

Mark, Thanks for your eloquent and concise statement! It was quite correct, and one that needed to be stated. Chet Thompson --- On Sun, 9/25/11, Bebe Hughes <bhughes1999@yahoo.com> wrote:
